call to all fans lucky enough to be able to go to Sundays game: regardless of who our manager is and players we have, the one thing that unites us is our desire to see Sunderland win. The best way to help with this is to turn the SoL into a cauldron of noise, and SUPPORT the team throughout the entire 90+ minutes. Our players need picking up after recent events, and being silent will not do that. So please do your part, and shout, sing and scream as loud and long as you can. Lets make sure Stoke do not enjoy playing us. We can go back to debating about Bruce and recent events afterwards, but lets forget about them for those special 90 minutes where you get to see us play. I will be shouting along with you from France! Post this on any forum, facebook group etc if you agree. Syd, make it an article if ya want -lets see how many people can get the message before the game - edit where necessary if you do.
No matter how bad things are I think the vast majority of fans do get behind the team when kick off comes, not sure how many will be there on Sunday mind.
difficult to say with the GNR on, traffic problems, people taking part people cheering on people they know taking part. This will put a lot of people off Poor decision by the F.A they could have shown it Monday night
I can honestly say that I shout and sing myself 'RAW' every game, even though sometimes I'm the lone voice in the section where I sit. However, thanks to our lass cocking up the booking, I will miss Sunday's game, as I will be away on holiday. I wish that this would happen, but sadly I can see the whingers staying silent until something goes wrong, then doing what they do best by getting on the teams back.
I'm always 100% behind the lads during the game, I've never booed or left a game early, even during the 15 point season. Regardless of what I think of the current manager this will never change. If we win.ill be on here saying well done Bruce for picking the lads up and winning the game, I hope we push on and start winning games
I think Bruce has had his day but will still cheer on the lads and do not agree with booing during the game however after the game is fair comment i recon! We are not the only set of fans that sometimes boo when were served up S H I T E! All fans will show dissatisfaction in the same way! Its our only way to let the powers that be that we are not happy!
also playing sunday: utd v chelsea spuds v Lpool fulham v citeh what would the scoreline have to be in our game, not to be last on MOTD2 ?
Like MRaw says i support and sing my heart our every game. Normally cannot talk after the game due to throat being sore, however, mates think thats a bonus.
This is my thinking too Syd. 36,600 against a title challenging Chelsea team, could well mean a crowd of much less than 36,000 v Stoke which will be less entertaining shall we say. As for supporting the team, that will happen 100%. Despite the slumps and the poor results, the crowd havent turned on the manager during games - YET!!! Lose on Sunday however and I think the daggers will be drawn from many, many more fans.
I think the only way we will top 36k is if Stoke sell out. Sunday game, GNR, poor form, not looking great
Agree with Cest there, there have been no real Bruce out chants YET, that's a credit to the fans. The only dissenting voices I've heard are the odd chavvy looking chaps leaving early if we are losing and shout in the direction of the dug oit as if they'll be heard "f off bruce ya fat geordie c" There's no room for getting on the players backs if there's a game still to be won or drawn, like what happened on sat, the loudest the crowd was was the last 5 mins when 15,000 fans had already f'd off. Its give and take sometimes though, atm the players have to give something for the majority of the crowd to really roar. If we aren't in a position to get a result coming upto full time on Sunday I fully expect the chants of 'you don't know what ya doing' and bruce out to send a shudder down the managers spine
I will be there even if I have to do another 8 miles from SS to Sland. I am 100% behind the team and Bruce and will be until the day SNQ decides its time for a change.
I have a feeling that kind of decision will come from above Quinny. It was Short that started asking questions about Keane which prompted him to throw the towel in. You have to think Short is beggining to ask similar questions at the minute. Lose to Stoke and I think Ellis will wield the axe.
