That Cian Hughton signing is an odd one, he's a 23 year old 5'5" defender who was released by Lincoln City almost a year ago.
WOW, they must need players then. Only last week they also took Huseklepp off Pompey and Andros Townsend from Tottenham Hotspur after his loan ended @ tws. Interesting.
Hughton is pretty good at turning average/poor players into decent players. Despite Folan's weaknesses I still think he has an eye for goal at this level. Wouldn't surprise me if he did alright there. Although I think he'll just be back-up for King, Zigic and Huseklepp.
To be honest I thought Folan had bags of potential, he had everything it takes to make a good striker but was useless because he was the biggest wimp in the world. You watch hughton make him headbutt brick walls all day in training and transform him into 3 times the player
Love this picture though: http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-n...590/63/birmingham-sign-folan-short-term-deal?
He loves himself a bit...
He's exactly the kind of player who will realise the potential that was obviously there all along and become a great player now he's not here.
Maybe if he was early 20's he would, like Walters and Andrews, I think his time has passed if there ever was one
Again, another one of our rivals strengthening their squads. I know it doesn't guarantee success but it gives you a much better chance of succeeding
With Marlon King struggling for full fitness and Zigic wanting out of there they had to do something. Interesting though to see how they all get on for the last couple of months.
