Tom Cairney is set to hand Hull City boss Steve Bruce another injury boost with a return to the first-team fold in the next fortnight. In a week that has already seen Jack Hobbs step up his comeback after seven months out with cruciate ligament damage, Cairney has followed suit by resuming full training for the first time since suffering his own knee injury in August. Cairney has been sidelined for the last 10 weeks after he was the victim of a "horror tackle" in City's League Cup exit at Doncaster Rovers, an injury that initially sparked fears he would miss the remainder of 2012. However, after making sound progress over recent weeks, the 21-year-old has rejoined his team-mates in training ahead of a possible comeback in the reserves next week. http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/story-17326672-detail/story.html?
Great news, cairney will flourish in this team and system, problem is he'll never get a chance with quinny and robbie playing the way they are.
Unless we have some serious injury problems I dont think we will see him back in first team action until the FA Cup.
Good news. I always fear the worst for long term injury victims and breathe a sign of relief when they make it back. Its good to have both Tom and Jack back in contention (or nearly back). Like the previous poster I think Tom will have to wait his turn. Being able to pick 2 from 3 with Cairney, Koren and Quinn is a strong situation should there be injuries or loss of form.
Good news and just increases the competition for places. The bench just keeps getting stronger and stronger. With december and the festive period very busy we shall need everyone fit and rarin to go at some point.
How about Harrogate Town in the 3rd round @ the KC ? They have every chance of beating Hastings Utd @ home in round 2 on saturday 1st dec. Personally i would prefer Rotherham Utd away to get a new ground done. OLM would buy his tickets behind the home bench for the extra added entertainment.
You must be the only person in Britain hoping that they get Harrogate Town in the FA Cup. We'd be lucky to get 3,000.
There are quite a few teams that we haven't played competitive games against still in the mix. I would like to draw one of those (away) for a new ground to go see us play at.
I'd like an away game at some small club near me, such as Halifax (although they may be out already), Bratfud, Uddersfield or TWS (if they haven't gone bust by then with the rumours of the investment falling through)
