who votes for the man of the match now?
Am I alone in thinking Cairney is over rated?
He slows down every attack , just sits 10 yards in front of a centre half has 3-4 touches and plays a simple sideways pass then strolls around at a steady jog.
We need some energy in our midfield our build up is so slow its unreal.
I was totally baffled by the Brady off for Barmby substitution?
We ended up with the same team shape and personel as we finished with at Elland Road and it didnt work again!

I'd be baffled if Cairney hadn't won MotM, he was the best player on the pitch today.

He was excellent today. He looked exactly like the player he was when he first broke into the side, and nothing like the average, pompous prat he was last season.

I can 't make my mind up either . I rate Cairney but he lacks that cutting edge.

Why the frig he didn't take the free kick in the first half where Fryatt rolled it into the wall is beyond me as well .

Cairney was our best player today, if he's not well rated then doesn't say much for the rest of the team.

i think cairneys playing well.......i know the point your making about slow build up..we havent had a central midfielder since marney (stop laughing) that can turn defence into attack with a burst of pace, a lot of our attacks are very laboured and predictable..dont think thats cairneys fault tho, its just not his style..

When Cairney started playing in the championship for us last season he was getting closed down every time he got the ball and just couldnt handle the pace, this time around he is able to hold onto the ball and get a pass away. All he needs and we need is a creative midfielder with legs.. somone who can use Cairney for one two's and burst into the box!

Him being our best footballer, pretty much everything is his role. He is being asked t sit deep,so he can make the play. And you saw how many chances we created today. Its hard to see how you've picked TC as a poor show today, after the truly awful show from Evans.

Im not pointing the finger at Cairney I just didn't see what everyone else seemed to see today.
I saw him pick up the ball plenty of times in and around the centre circle and spread play or maybe switch play but nothing Chester OR Hobbs couldn't of done I didn't see one through ball, diagonal ball over the top or burst of pace into space ?
Easy ball Easy on the eye? yes! creative and match winner ? No!

BRADY AND CAIRNEY both played well. Its down to the folks who vote. Not much between them.

Olifinjana?? no need to spend and transfer money....I'm going crazy wondering why the management want rid....is he on £23k a week?....He'll make Portsmouth's midfield excellent if he goes there.

Im not picking him as a poor show today. I'm saying it wasn't a man of the match performance and I agree Evans was very poor

He wont as they cannot afford him. Oli is not that good anyway and Pompey are a poor side. For sure City wont allow Oli to go there as we play them on 17th sept.

Cairney was playing the easy ball, true but also spread it well to the wings. He was by far the best player on the pitch today, little suprised that he has the talent to take the free kicks but wasn't allowed to and the only major thing/ critism on him today was that he did what any other City player does when taking corners - can't get it past the fooking front post!!!

I don't really see who we could pick as motm,to be be fair.I don't vote on it.I felt for Fryatt today, great effort from him,(in a 451). But all in all,i would choose Cairney for the motm.

Things aren't falling for us at the moment, we look poor in the final third, much of the movement we try doesn't seem to come off and every official seems to hate us. But Cairney looks a class act, he's back to playing the way he did when he came through in the Premier League, there's definitely something still missing, but I don't think it's down to Tom.
