That only leaves the racist as their only recognised CB. Im starting to think we could upset them if we go up against a weakened back 4.
They've still got some very good players who can do a job there (Romeu, Essien, Hutchinson, Ferreira etc). I think we're capable of getting a result but still more in hope than expectation.
For me I'd wait and see Saturdays results before I decide my final Sunday Tactics, If Wigan, Villa , Bolton all win then we need to go for it big style. If they loss then anything could be a great result. On the other It's Chelski and we should be going for throat
Spot on Our defensive approach to away games is one of the main reasons we've picked up so few points on our travels, particularly under Hughes.
I really think on this basis they might rest some other influencials just incase they get injured. Peronally think its a good time to play them. Everyone expecting us to get zero points , anything is a bonus for me. Will be ecstactic if we end this round of games outside the bottm three with 2 to play.
Even the clown Lawrenson thinks we'll get a point. He also reckons that Villa, Bolton, Wigan and Blackburn will all lose. It's not often that I say this, but I do hope he's right..... because if that happens, and then Bolton lose to Spurs in their game in hand, a win against Stoke next weekend should keep us up!
But this approach is the reasons we have picked up points from the top 8..It's been working, these Tic tacs have been working against the top 8 why change it ! Home or away does it really matter.... Agreed it should be change to lower clubs.
Zamora to bully Bosingwa and Mackie to bully Bertrand and we've got a chance of getting something out of the game.
Our over cautious approach away form home has not given us 3 points since November, and not many draws either! Way to change that for me has got be to show the aggression, and sometimes the adventure, we show at home at Chelsea.
Wigan have picked up wins away by not being afraid to push bodies forward on quick counter-attacks, sadly, our formation doesn't give us the same penetration so we are not making enough chances. Sunday will be intriguing to see whether we will be more adventurous...
I think Kerry Dixon stands a bloody good chance at making the starting line up but both Peter Houseman and Peter Osgood were pulled up in training . Bless them
Clearly set up for a 0-0 then if Torres plays! I would fancy Cisse or Traore on the left against that side.
