Cabaye has described the return of Ben Arfa as “simply beautiful” and feels that the French playmaker’s moments of magic can win plenty of Premier League matches for Newcastle United.

The midfielder though – dubbed the Dreamboat by some Toon fans – is looking forward to Ben Arfa stepping things up on Saturday at Molineux as he homes in on full fitness, and feels that his first top-flight start will be icing on the cake for United’s French Connection after a positive start for new-look Newcastle.

“He is a beautiful player and I hope he continues to get fitter. The quicker that is the better for Newcastle, it’s very important.”

Throw in the return to fitness of flying ex-Rennes winger Sylvain Marveaux and Demba Ba’s goal rush against Blackburn Rovers, and Cabaye is a happy man.

The former Lille double winner said: “We are all starting to play well now.

“Hatem has made two appearances now and I’m happy for him.

“Sylvain has also played in the last two games and is getting stronger. For Demba to get three goals is great for all of us. It shows how much we are all enjoying life at Newcastle.”

“He is a beautiful player and I hope he continues to get fitter.”

    Oh my my <laugh>

Aye, i think that's everyones main concern over this game, especially since Wolves have Calvin Henry in their team. We can't wrap him up in cotton wool though as we need our best players starting, and if he does start then i see us winning quite comfortably.

I'd start him behind Ba on Saturday, needs time on the pitch to get his fitness up. Doesn't matter who we're facing he'll have to face challenges, he's the sort of player that will invite challenges from lesser skilled players, no point in molly coddling him.

Bear in mind though that the whole footballing world will know that Benni will be a risk against that "Savage Henry", but the refs will protect him as will be their job to do so after the horror tackle last year which caused alot of controversy. I think Benni should get the start. Tiote will be there to destroy anyone who dares make a bad tackle on him. Let him start, we cant hide him from rough football forever. Every team has the ability to get rough so if he does get injured we are never going to know where or when. Unless he does get injured tomorrow and Im an asshole for making this comment.

If he gets injured tomorrow we'll hunt you down.

I wouldn't play Ben Arfa tomorrow. The team did well last week and it should be the same eleven barring any injuries. I wouldn't play Ben Arfa behind Ba because Ba was dropping into the midfield and linking up well so who would be the out ball upfront? Best needs to play as he is the one who plays as a main striker.

I'd put it him after 60 minutes if we're drawing or losing. and if we're winning i'd put him after 70 minutes.

Want to see Marveaux get a chance too, more than just 5 minutes. :)

I agree that Ben Arfa should probably be on the bench tomorrow - would be harsh on Best if we played him behind Ba as Best has been doing well recently

I'm of the idea that you don't change a winning team, so I'd have him on the bench again and just bring him on for whoever Calvin Henry injures to get his marching orders!
