With the wages he earns you'd reckon he'd have American Express.

First Joey Barton, then Nile Ranger and now Yohan Cabaye denied a Visa.. Brilliant idea to go on a USA tour lads.

No news anywhere. With it being NUFC youd expect it to be huge

I have heard it from many people. Not sure if it's true, think someone said he was feeling unwell but don't believe that.

When the tour was arranged we hadn't confirmed the signing of Cabaye. Ashley probably wanted / hoped Barton would be sold before the USA tour and the club plan to loan out or sell Ranger so the US tour wouldn't have been a problem.

Don't know if the Cabaye bit is true, can't see anything about a criminal past.

Lets hope not, we are becoming like Strangeways! It'll be just our luck. I can see the headline now "Yohan Cabaye's past life as a nonce revealed as the real reason his fee was so low"

The Chronicle can reveal today that Cabaye was not on board the Magpies’ flight to the United States yesterday and will play no part in the three-game tour of the US.

A minor technical problem with his visa application is believed to be the reason for his omission from the squad.

But Pardew is relaxed about the situation and does not feel it will interfere with his plans this season.

He doesn't have a criminal record as far as im aware. Im also sure, if he had, then it would ave been leaked around the time of Ranger & Barton being denied.

This just seems to be a rumour spreading like wild fire on twitter.

A supposed problem with his Visa application.

There's only one actual journalist reporting it but not sure how relaible he is, someone currently from the Hartlepool Mail.

I'd have thought one of the ones that has went on tour would have said something first, or even Simpson? Im assuming (if this is true) then he's went and been turned away once hes there. Although, im not sure when this would have happened since theres plenty of photos of the team going around shopping in Kansas and stuff last night :S

    Too late then!

Thats a shame, i was proper looking forward to seeing him against Orlando :(

I'll have to settle for bloody Smith instead.

    Hopegully it'll be Tiote & Abeid/Vuckic though.

He'll be playing with Barton, hopefully them 2 can build a decent partnership with Barton on the wing and Cabaye in the centre <ok>

They got to America on Sunday morning, so it would be very stupid if only then they found out Cabaye's visa was denied, would of found out same time as Barton & Ranger.
