Hi guys Toon fan in peace.

Congrats on your win yesteday was a good game from a neutral perspective.

Wednesday night sees our two clubs go head to head in the first stage of the competition that we have entered. What im intrested in is do you guys think you will field a strong squad or a bit of a reserve team? And is there a possibilty Rooney could be making a come back against us?

General feeling in the North East is that we will field a bit of an under strenght squad for this game to concertrate on the league and Europa League. Although there are rumours of Collocini getting a run out after injury and Chieck Tiotet got a 15 min run out against Norwich yesterday so could also feature.

May the best team win and I genuinley hope you guys beat Sh-ity to the title.

Fergie will play the reserves. I hope he's decided who's going to take the penalty.

You never know with this games, difficult tie for both teams especially with it being the 3rd round.

Ticket prices for away fans are rdiculous, suppose they have to come up with their referee fund from somewhere.

Yes, £45 for what looks like being a reserve game is a bit of a joke.

Probably mainly reserves, but Fletcher's likely to feature along with players on the fringes like Anderson and Buttner. Should be an interesting game with both sides playing weakened, but still relatively decent, line ups.

Ticket prices are a bit much, but as long as people are willing to pay them they will keep charging them...

I thought ref's couldn't referee a team(s) from where they were born/ live actually, guess not.

Never heard that one before. It would make a bit of sense, but then it could end up getting a bit convoluted. If you take that approach then could a ref from Manchester, for example, referee a Chelsea game if Chelsea were competing with Utd and City for the title?

I think the only thing that would matter would be what team they support, if any. Remember that Utd have 1.5 million fans in Manchester and 1 million fans in London, and I think Liverpool have even more fans in London that in Liverpool, so you wouldn't necessarily be much less likely to get a 'neutral' referee by choosing a ref from a different city.

It will be good to see him back, good little player. Very unlucky to get such a nasty disease just goes to show footballers are humans, very rich humans with not much regard for the real world but humans none the less haha.

£45 is an insane price to ask for the game but it could well end up being game of the tournament even with 2nd string squads out.
