Time will tell. But let's just see who comes in. Snoddy can move away anytime. I'm sure there are plenty of clubs snooping around. So he won't be short of offers. & unlike Kilkenny, if Snoddy moves on, he'll move up to a club in the PL who can improve him as a player & pay him what he's worth. The only reason he & a number of others will stay is if they feel the incomings will push us towards a serious challenge for auto.

    Fingers crossed. Time will tell.

    Hi Boggers,

Rumours going round last night that Warnock ripped Harvey a new one yesterday over his innability to tie players down and that if we don't make 2or 3 of the players he wants before he goes away on holiday he's going to walk.

The chairman is trying to put a bit of pressure on me,” said Snodgrass. “He’s telling me what plans he has got for the club. But they told me the same type of plans the season before and it didn’t work out. So it’s hard to buy into these things again.
everything else happen. But it’s a wee bit unfortunate that I’m in this situation. I’ll make the right decision when the time comes. If there’s no decision to be made, then by all means I’ll stay at Leeds for the last year of my contract

I started highlighting the points that sounds like he is off. I gave up as I read the whole article as its pretty damming. He is waiting for the right offer then hes gone.

    <applause> good luck Snod <applause>

    Hi Bucks,

We can't blame him can we, everything he says makes sense.
Like you say, good luck to him, seems like a really nice bloke.

He could have left before now and probably would if it wasn't for the fans i reckon.

Spot on buddy. Real shame as this also sends out the wrong message to all potential new signings. I feel a right cock for almost believing this season we would go for it. <shouldhavelearntbynowsmiley>

Two captains sold within a year? Who the hell have we turned into?

Can see it either backing the ****er Bates into a corner and acting or see us losing both Snoddy and Warnock - If it is the later expect all hell to break lose because surely that would turn the die hardest Bates supporters against him.

Nah, they'd just come up with some other excuse as to why it was best for the club

Not so sure, it might for a few on here who like to be controversial for the sake of it but I have a couple of mates who were all " It's Graysons fault why should Bates trust him with money with the **** he signs" who have very recently turned into anti Bates. I have always been Anti Bates but I did take a wait and see approach giving myself a deadline of which 3-4 will be here when Warnock departs for his holiday. Howsons money alone could and should have funded a quick fire Ward and Pearce signing, I really did expect to see four new faces totalling a spend of around £2 million.

Don't worry yourselves, hes not gone yet, but all this story will do is fire up interest from other clubs.

Bet hes under pressure to sign a new contract, and seeing other players leave is going to do nothing for the promises hes had made to him.

Is he going to do a Beckford and run his contract down? maybe he will, he said hes happy to stay.

Why did you expect that amount of spend?

And what do you expect now?

I think to be fair we are in the mindset that everything with transfers that don't work out we blame the ****, but not all transfers are straight forward contract length, wages, promises of what the club will be doing to move forward, I for one do not see Warnock staying at Leeds if he didn't have the means to build a promotion challenging team, I might be wrong its only an opinion, I do not have inside knowledge on such matters.

I confess to feeling a little bit gloomy this morning after reading the Snoddy article (cue loud laughter from Simon, Elmo & Marko!). I even wrote to the ticket office about the procedure to get a season ticket refund (some hope!), giving my reasons reasonably & concisely. Then I read this article, and felt just a little better http://www.teamtalk.com/leeds-united/7770792/Warnock-wants-to-write-history?utm

Although a little uplifting, and dated today, I still can't help feeling that this might be an old interview. Thoughts?

It's nothing new, is it, WJ?

It's just regurgitation. But you have paid for your season ticket - enjoy the season and see where it goes from now.

"The thing about Leeds United is players want to play for you because it's a fantastic atmosphere and doesn't need selling with the crowds we get."

Not sure that that statement is true though. We don't seem to have many players who want to play for us, the atmosphere has been awful more than it has been good, and we will struggle to average 20,000 this season, which will not be anything to shout about when comparing with other clubs.

We all know that there is money to spend, we know that NW said 3-4 in place before his holiday and we heard Bates say don't expect too much before the end of July when contracts expire. I expected those that were going to cost a 'fee' to arrive ASAP and those that we were going to chase who were out of contract to arrive later. Pearce came in at £400k to £500k so assuming NW 3-4 statement and knowing it has been a long time since we splashed out over £500k on a player I figured 4 x £500k

I will be expecting the worst if NW leaves for holiday with no further new faces beforehand.

I think Snods is a bit stuck. He has dickhead Levein telling him he needs to play at a higher level yet the knob selects average SPL players. We know Snods has had a tough time at home, and the lad is looking out for his future. Warnock will no doubt have a word with the lad and let him know how the squad could look. I still trust Warnock/hate Bates and lets see where this all ends up. If Snoddy goes, so be it, his choice. If he stays and we get promoted, even better. In fact, I'd like it if he doesn't sign a new deal and stays to run his contract down a la Beckford. We will see a determined player performing to the best of his ability every week as he tries to impress clubs to give him a fat contract in the Prem. Beckford was unplayable in his last season for us for this exact reason.
