Shame for their fans and staff, and I know some of them, but what the hell was Heaney playing at? Now Guilfoyle should lose his job for incompetence.

Anyone got a £1 they can lend Ridsdale to buy Truro City? Surely he will be just as keen to save them out of the goodness of his heart?

In the words of Inspector Clueso I exclude no one I exclude everyone................ Nothing is over till the fat lady has had her say. He is looking less likely by the day but until the deal is done I am not uncrossing anything.

Gat.........there is a mention somewhere today that his offer is still on the table...............but it does look more likely that he should be concentrating his attentions nearer home.

You never know your " friend " (the one you won't utter ) might spend his pound further west.

If Heaney owes a large amount to HMRC I'm not sure what will happen to Truro City. He's mortgaged the land to the hilt and a new stadium on the outskirts of Truro has agin been refused planning permission. There's not another ground in Cornwall that would come up to spec if the worst happens and they lose the ground.

For all I hate Heaney for the way he has messed us around, Truro City's rise up the non-leagues has been amazing. Less than 10 years ago they weren't even a great force in the South Western League, and I was good friends with several of their players. Heaney certainly put them on the map in a short time. 5 promotions and an FA Vase win is remarkable in such a short space of time. Friends tell me that players like Barry Hayles are on ridiculous money though and I just wonder how deep their troubles are now because I can't see the big earners sticking around if they're not going to get paid.

I really hope that Heaney loses out in all of this but the club comes through relatively unscathed.

Barry Hayles, even now, would probably be the perfect guy for a League 2 scrap and the youngsters would learn so much from him. And if he's not getting paid at Truro what's he got to lose? I'm sure someone told me that we never lost a game that he scored in, but I reckon that just meant he didn't score too many! Having said that it was in the Championship so come on Barry, you know the way.

<laugh><laugh><laugh> Jocks subtle approach strikes again!!! A future in the Diplomatic Corp awaits.

It really beggars belief that one little ginger pleb can cause so much trouble. Hope Truro can pull through this and if this is his idea of running a club then thank God it looks like he won´t get his grubby little mitts on Argyle.
