which will he choose. Defiantly going, and out of contract so no funds for him, could have gone to any one of these in Jan 2013, Club asked if he would stay at that time with all the injury's,he agreed but the club only want to offer him a one year deal, Cole wants a two year deal. Reading Boro Palace Blackpool seems to be a board decision and not the managers choice
The only news I have read about Skuuuussseee..! is he is returning to full training...http://www.thisisbristol.co.uk/Care...tory-18248071-detail/story.html#axzz2Lus0hYyN Robin where did you hear your news......?
I would be surprised if he did leave I would be less surprised if he stayed and won the board over. After all, he has underachieved since becoming a first teamer, and there cannot be that many clubs queueing up to take him away
Cole has been offered a three year contract on the same wages and he considers he can earn more. At 26/27 it's very important contract but relocating costs money and it'll need to be worth his while. He already is on the current maximum wage moving forward as austerity comes to AG.The days of big wages for ordinry players are over, thanks God.
Nah Skuse isn't worth or good enough for 10k+ a year. Probably half of that and I wouldn't mid but theres about out there now. Kelly will be a fine replacement and I expected hes on no more than 7k Title is very misleading though, Thought we had got rid of him today ! Can see him going to place though, Reunite with Keef
Get your foot out of your mouth, I didn't say he was good enough for palace. I said I could see him going there because of Millen, Its up to them if they think he's good enough.
There is a long list of players who are out of contract come the end of the season and we are nearly in March with no contracts being offered. I hope Skuse stays but he is a player who could go on to bigger things and many managers have good things to say about him. The one team I have seen as making an equiry into him was Sheffield United who are currently top of League One as Wilson has previously managed him and a team who could be challenging for promotion in the championship next season but Skuse is a local boy and is proud of it
Given our current form I doubt he'd get himself another Championship team should he leave us, so he'd be looking at a sideways move to another League 1 team assuming we go down. He'd be a fool to leave us, because I doubt he'd get good wages elsewhere. It's a shame that he'll be yet another player we were unable to cash in on though.
I would think someone in the Championship would offer him a deal. In the future (austerity and financial fair play) any player that we pay top dollar to has to affect the outcome of alot of games - while I rate Cole, I'm not sure he does??
Given our curent form...? what, 4 wins, 4 defeats under SOD - carry on like that and we will be safe and anyway, one player is not responsible for our overall performance and we are generally better when he is in the team than not. Cole is that proverbial box to box player and the only thing that has really lacked is that goalscoring knack. Don't see him having any trouble finding another NPC if he were so inclined....
I could see Yeovil taking him, with their current management team in place. He would fit in well there. But they would only table something like £2,500 a week, plus win bonus, which may not be enough. I hope we keep him. A useful utility player.
I hope we keep him for the same reason he is a useful squad player, but not like we kept Louis Carey, good player but got a feeling if Louis turned us down we would of gone out and got a better younger version rather than settle for what we got.
