Here it is below, happy or not- http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/Ipswic...l-Thomas-set/story-19429347-detail/story.html
Imagine adomah on fire and staying, jet on form, baldock and Davis staying and on form. Mouthwatering prospect if it comes off
Be nice to take us back to the championship and stay with us,perhaps sod has conviniced him to stay.he would rip league 1 apart.
Here is the Ipswich article JET Due in Bristol on Monday Sunday, 30th Jun 2013 10:36 Town midfielder Jay Emmanuel-Thomas is expected at Bristol City on Monday to talk personal terms regarding the swap deal which would see Robins winger Paul Anderson, 24, join the Blues. According to reports in Bristol, negotiations between the clubs are at an advanced stage with the proposed deal a straight swap with no money changing hands. The moves could be finalised within the next couple of days. Anderson, who like 22-year-old Emmanuel-Thomas has a year left on his contract with his current club, is believed to have already spoken to Town. The only remaining potential stumbling blocks would appear to be the Robins matching Emmanuel-Thomas’s wage demands - although he is believed to be willing to take a pay cut - and persuading him to drop into League One. Emmanuel-Thomas, who along with Michael Chopra was told he could find a new club at the end of 2012/13, previously worked under Bristol City boss Sean O'Driscoll during a loan spell at Doncaster Rovers. Looks like the post earlier from some Ipswich fan might be right Ipswich might top up his wages to get him off the books.
I would rather have Anderson, not met a Cardiff fan who has a good thing to say about JET, and I'm not talking about the Cardiff fans on forums. I can remember Leeds fans trying to say the same thing about Kilkenny and look how that one turned out.
Not overjoyed to have JET as opinion from every quarter is that he has a problem maintaining enthusiasm. So in a league where we will need 100% committment for 100% of each game, will JET provide this? Not sure. Not bothered about Anderson going.
This looks a great deal tbh, I know a few cardiff fans have come on here recently saying bad things about him, but I can't help but feel he will tear up league 1.
Rather keep Anderson myself. If JET can rip up league one, so can Anderson?? And yes we were told about Kilkenny too, but no, WE said we can make him a player.. yeah right..
The difference this time is simple Sean has worked with JET before and obviously knows how to get the best out of him and if JET is willing to drop down to L1 to rejoin Sean then he must be prepared to work for a first team place or he could stay as a bench warmer at Ipswich and get at least double what he will get here.
I think Jet could prove a very popular player with the fans has the potential to go far in the game, more so than adomah even but its also a risky signing too, i think we should wait and see, ive read a lot of opinions on him but till he is here and signed and we have seen him play several times id not listen to any opinions. One thing is certain he is a big signing for a league one club
Jet under SoD as he was at Donny was unplayable, complete class. If SoD can get 70% of the man i remember destroy city that would be absolute quality.
How many players have we employed in the recent past that never met expectations and JET looks to be in the same mould. However it is never a single player that makes or breaks the team but rather the total mix, and that job is solely in the hands of SOD and we have to trust that he has that ability. Now that the squad is starting to take shape and looking like some players that we thought would be gone might still be here at season's start makes me wonder how our nemesis of too high a wage bill has improved, if any. We need to remember that along with a massive rebuild of the team we also had to reduce the salaries significantly or we have wasted our time in seeking relegation to improve our lot in life. Some of you are more in the know than me stuck out here in the Rockies so do you have a firm belief that we have addressed the major issue of wages, or is there more to be done by shipping out more players? With regard to Albert, who according to most on this site is our biggest asset, you have probably noticed that none of the rumours have come to fruition which confirms my belief that he is not quite the hot property that many continue to believe. Should he stay I have fears that he might travel down the same path as another supposed star in our recent past and we don't need that kind of distraction in our quest to return to sanity - do we? If he should stay and decide to put in a full shift every game then he will regain my backing and I would wish him well if he should move on to higher things. This has to be a season where we have no off-field distractions and I hope that SOD reads the riot act to any of the players breaking the rules to let them know in no uncertain terms that he is in charge. End of!
Like I said RR - the best of luck and I hope he does it for you. The point I'm making is that he can do it, but needs to do it regularly, not once a season. He wasn't sat on the bench by McCarthy for nothing. Any so called "flair" player can look good on his day, but you need him to reproduce it time after time. If things don't go his way during a game, he goes missing and can lose the plot altogether. I'm not scaremongering, and certainly not wumming - just commenting on watching him for half a season for us a couple of years back.
Mike ref your concern below- This has to be a season where we have no off-field distractions and I hope that SOD reads the riot act to any of the players breaking the rules to let them know in no uncertain terms that he is in charge. End of! I think every player knows who is in charge. JET played his best football under SoD,JET seems happy to reunite with him.
He played something like 9 games for Doncaster, we saw him once? I know you think SoD should have a G instead of S in his initials but after the Kilkenny fiasco when Leeds fans were warning us, the Cardiff fans on here are as well as friends over here who saw him. Me I will keep a very open mind airing on the side of caution regarding him. Mick McCarthy is a strong minded person who don't take fools gladly, and look what's happened since he joined the club.
