as the list of our championship winning heroes gets ever shorter I'd just like to say thanks to Ali Faurlin for everything he's done for us. he was an integral part of the team that got us up. it's a shame that last seasons injury was so severe as I dont think he was the same player when he came back. best of luck in Palermo.
I read this as 'Bye Bye All' and thought we were going to get another one of those self indulgent posts where you would conclude by telling us that you're coming off not606, it ain't like the old days, etc.
Best of luck and hopes that regular football will bring back the pre-injury Ali we all know and love!
I still believe he could be a top player for us, as he's only gone on loan. He has enormous talent, but needs games to regain his confidence following the injury. Unfortunately, we aren't in a position to give him game time due to our perilous league position. I wish him well, and hope to see him back in June.
It's not goodbye exactly is it? Farewell might be a more appropriate word (if we still used it that is!).
This is actually a good deal for Ale, should give him plenty of gametime something he wasn't going to get with us for the remainder of the season....He'll be back a better player next season.
Farewell and come back stronger ... it was always a big ask to come back from his injury. I sense watching him Sat he is frustrated with himself as its not flowing. Next year the premier league will be the only place to be. If not who wouldn't want to play in a beautiful country? Either way no one can lose he was outstanding for us
Like Ferdinand and Mackie if he goes, we'll be desperate to have him back if we end up getting relegated.
Bit gutted at this as Ale has proven he is a good player, albeit out of form at the moment. But hopefully he does come back at the end of the season back in form. Would be gutted to see him leave permanently.
Best of luck Ale, hope to see you back here next season (whichever league we're in). I think he'll do well in Sicily, in a great climate, surrounded by fellow Argentinians, playing a style of football better suited to his cattenacio skills of patient buildup and ball retention. If he does come back as I expect him to, he'll be a better player for it. Buon Fortuna Ale!
Sorry to see him go - share the hopes of others to see him back and in form. Is he our longest serving player??
So are Palermo! They're 2nd from bottom! So THAT obviously has nothing to do with it. He ain't coming back, as I have said already. It'll be permanent at the end of season if he stays healthy and plays OK. He probably doesn't even need to play that well. But if I were him, I'd make sure his personal deal is in the forefront when the time comes so he can make the decision himself to stay there. With 6 other Argies in that squad, the great weather, nice food and the Mediterranean, why would he want to come back to London?
