Just read on twitter BWP is definitely staying with us for next year and he's not joining Huddersfield like a certain rumour site said
Good news. A couple of the local papers 'confirmed' the Terriers' offer at £800,000 - which is top dollar for a player who failed a medical a week before he joined us. Could have done with the money, but I'm very pleased we declined. As I said at the end of last season, we need to set out our stall early and declare our intentions clearly and firmly - this is a good indicator IMO that we're doing just that.
Great news, but i bet the board was tempted to sell for the 800k as he only has a year left on his contract though! Id like to see his contracted extended, in his short spell with us last season he really impressed in my eyes!
Yes, Forever - he's never going to put in much of a shift but he's a dangerous player anywhere near the box - produces some nice layoff play as well.
yes, little point in selling BWP we already need a brand new defence and most of a midfield and some new strikers we don't want to replace the entire team or they'd never gel
First time ive posted on here, but been looking at the site for a few weeks. Id like him to sign a new deal to end any speculation, but it might be better to wait til january to see if hes still worth keeping hold of (wouldnt want him to sign a new deal if he isnt going to be banging a few goals in this season). Think we need an intelligent striker who can play him in on goal, but who that striker is i dont know. Seems Bradley is good at one on one finishing, but in this league we need someone who can hold it up for him and play him through. Would like to see a half decent forward brought in, but i fear it will be yet another non-league "prospect" who turns out to be as dangerous as Audley Harrison.....
