No way on earth lee novak the only replacement for BWP would be Wayne Rooney and even then i`d want money on top.
Exactly what I was thinking Tbh the only place I look for football rumours is Newsnow, and even then I don't get too excited until its actually on the OS.
That is an eye-watering sum of money, if it's correct - but no thanks - we were the ones who took a punt on BWP's class showing through when he failed the medical at Coventry and we should get the reward on the field. For all the respect I have for Lee Clarke and what he's done at Huddersfield, in this case I'd have no hesitation in saying 'get lost'.

Jonathon Ackworth is one of those people you'll find yourself sitting next to on the coach for an away game if there is an odd number in your travelling party. By the time you get to the ground he will have told you his life story and bored the pants off you in the meantime. He always claims to have inside information when one look at him just tells you he has no contacts whatsoever and basically just makes rumours up to make himself the centre of attention
Agreed football rumours is a pain in the backside, you read it and know not to believe a word on it, but can't help having an inkling of excitement and hoping these rumours are true. Jonathan Acworth and a2c are like two peas in a pod to me, really cannot believe they are actual human beings.
I read football rumours purely for the humour. Never read anything on there and taken it seriously, just enjoy it for what it is!! Ackworth- back in the old prem days players used to print off his teamtalk comments and laugh about them. There has been some golden comments over the years- him getting in contact with David beckhams people to buy us stands out. He does scare me though....
Has anyone actually met him? I looked at an old fanzine from like, 1998 or something, and he was mentioned a fair few times in it which shows how long he's been the centre of CAFC humour.
Ive met people who have met him. Yeeears ago in our premiership relegation season on the way to Blackburn away as me and my old man got on the train we met another fan who told us he always got the coach but got stuck with Jonathan ackworth last time round, so changed his transport method. At that time I knew of him from teamtalk, but now he is everywhere!!! As I said, scary.
