I'm laughing at all the Webber votes, started 4th, ended up 2nd because 2 of the drivers in front a had tyre blow-out and gearbox failure, whereas Webber was the cause of his own demise, as usual. Either Massa or Hamilton, who both had slower race cars and tyre blow outs but still finished in good points scoring positions are far more worthy than Mr "it's everyone elses fault".

Best Driver: Hamilton. Also at the top of their games during this race: Rosberg (obviously a race winner always has a good claim for this, but he did inherit it through attrition), Massa (great recovery), Webber (fantastic fight after his poor start), Vettel and others; but based on the whole weekend, none were better overall, than Hamilton.
Worst Driver: Grosjean once again put himself in the wrong place, heading into the first corner. My opinion is that although he is very quick, he lacks some critically important spacial-awareness; and although he might argue that he had no choice but to move left, he should not have allowed himself to be the meat in someone else's sandwich… (This is excusable once or twice with a novice, but inexcusable when it persists – especially at this level).
Best Rookie: Bianchi
Best Team: Mercedes. No contest.
Worst Team: McLaren. No contest.

Best Overtake: Two were outstanding: Webber > Räikkönen and Hamilton > di Resta. I'm going for the latter because it involved a titanic scrap which went on longest (was it a whole lap or even more?), with three changes in position until Hamilton came out on top.
Funniest-moment: There was something but I've forgotten. Whatever it was was overshadowed by some very unfunny moments with tyres…
Most Surprising Result: Based on the weekend as a whole, I think I was most surprised by Ferrari's poor performance.
Least Surprising Result: Alonso's unsafe pit release was quickly overlooked…

Special Mention to: Murray Walker. I know how much he would have liked to make his annual trip. Get well man…
Race Rating: 8.8/10. It was a great race of enormous spectacle. Unfortunately it was let down by – and will be remembered for – the current, sorry state of affairs with F1's tyres.

Best Commentator/Presenter: I've now watched all of BBC's race coverage*, so: Ben Edwards, who always does a fantastic job without becoming intrusive. He also has a genuine knowledge of the sport, is hugely enthusiastic and always comes across as an interactive team-member with his co-commentator – as well as being friendly.

On the other hand, Croft is only good when compared to the biggest commentating disaster of all time: Jonathan Legard. Croft is up his own back-side and sounds sickenin
gly similar to some out-dated 70s DJ who thinks the show is 50% about himself, whilst making amateur errors.
