Am guessing we'll get decent money for Freeman. If so, the following will be on my wish list.
    Jedinak
Marciano [hibs' goalie). Barnsley keeper, Davies.possibly Speroni for one last hurrah and help Lumley.
    Lyle Taylor or Callum Robinson.
    Routledge
Sam Surridge Bournemouth striker on loan @ Oldham

We need lots more but am trying to be realistic and get balance right with youth and oldies

Marc Pugh - Bournemouth winger currently on loan at Hull would be a good purchase. Tommy Elphick. I would also like to keep Cameron, Rangel and Wells

Wells' wages put him way out of the equation, unless his parent club pay him - same with Cameron I'd imagine, although Stoke are far more likely to let him go. Cameron was interviewed on the Open All Rs podcast a few months ago and intimated that he'd like to stay with us past the end of the season, but I'm sure that would come down to finances. Similar situation with Rangel, as he'll be a free agent - dependant upon what we can offer him will dictate whether he stays.

I wouldn't bank on us getting decent money for Freeman, when buying clubs know you are desperate to sell they will play hardball, remember how much we got for Smithies who has had a great season splintering his arse at Baadiff.

I think we should target the clubs who just miss out in League One as well as looking at some of the better players at the relegated clubs in our division. We're not a big pull compared to even mid-table Championship clubs because of our financial distress and players well past their sell-by date are just not good business...

I love the football that Freeman plays: an unusual combination of effort and skill. I just hope that his muted recent displays put off any would-be suitors. For me, despite his running out of steam a little recently, he will be our Player of The Year.

The rumour is that Freeman is going to Norwich for 4 million plus add ons.

    Might have been posted elsewhere

Didn’t we get him for £400k? Good business. Provided we can get a like for like replacement for £400k or less.

My head says fantastic business.....my heart would be gutted.
Just a simple fact that this is what we are....a selling club that has to make a profit from any footballing gem that we might discover.

I think £4 million is well short of the mark as was Smithies fee when he went. When you look at what some PL clubs pay for absolute w*nkers we should be looking for double that...

Luke Freeman is 27 and we bought him for 400k, if we sell for 4m 2 years later that's still very good business. As you say, other clubs and agents will know about our financial state so will be striving for a hard bargain.

As much as I would love, LOVE to keep Freeman - and I can't raise much enthusiasm for the dross we are left with - part of me says that Luke deserves a shot at the Premier League and I imagine we need a cash injection that doesn't fall foul of FFP rules. Luke alone is worth the price of a season ticket (I haven't renewed yet) and I will miss his clever flourishes and commitment if he does go. Norwich sounds like a good move for him though....

    All the loanees
I agree. Norwich have really done well this season, spending money ( not much) very wisely. Freeman on his day is a match winner and with us going nowhere anytime this century then I for one wouldnt blame him on trying to play at a higher level.

Who of these would you offer a new contract to? The market valuation figures are meaningless in my opinion, but even if accurate they are all out of contract.

We can offer our fair share of absolute w*nkers too should they be required. I believe there’s one in central defence for starters.

"depending on his fitness". He made 4 appearances last season, and has managed 11 this year. It's a great shame, as he clearly has the talent, but we should only be offering him a deal on very low wages, with an appearance bonus structure as part of the deal. No doubt some club with more money than sense will offer him a normal contract, which he will rightly opt for.

Bidwell and Furlong the only ones on that list I think we should keep [assuming the likes of Wells/Rangel won't agree to a big wage cut].

Regardless of paying £400k for Freeman he is worth far more than £4m. He will be class even in the Premier league and people will laugh at what we let him go for.

I'm not completely convinced he will be brilliant in the Premier League. He might well be, but it's a big step up, and plenty of players who look great in the Championship don't cut it in the PL. It took him quite a while to flourish at his current level - he won't get that sort of time in the PL. Hope he does go on to do really well as he is a hard worker, but I wouldn't bank on it.

If he goes to Norwich it will be a real struggle as they will be under pressure from day one, regardless of how good they have been this season, they are no Wolves. He’d only be a squad player in any lower half PL club.
