Yes, Beddy...looked for thread to add to but failed. On Vitesse site, there is problem with transfer. Cannot understand translation completely, but reference to third party. Vitesse angry because they acted in good faith negotiating with Southampton at players request. Wonder whats going on.
Vitesse has leaked information about this transfer a couple times...there seems to be a general covering of ass going on there. Until the deal is off, it's on; by explicitly absolving Southampton of fault, they seem to be laying the groundwork for the deal to go through while blaming the player for any complications arising.
So we've done it right; Vitesse have done it right; is this an agent problem? Maybe now 'Arry is looking for work he's taken up agency work. Whatever now happens there is no mud being slung in our direction, so let's hope we just move on.
Had my doubts about this transfer when Buttner said that he may not have played his last game for Vitesse as it was in the hands of his agent who was at Southampton. Bet his agent is asking for a fee from Vitesse which they won't agree to because they've only just heard of it. Bet his agent didn't have much luck blackmailing Nicola either. Silly haircut anyway.
To me it looks as though his agent has found another prospective buyer which may have offered more cash. Vitesse won't play ball and let the player talk with whoever, and I am concerned that we may even pull out ourselves. Player looks too mercenary if my thoughts are close to the reality.
I got the impression that Buttner wants to join us though, so even if there is another buyer surely it shouldn't matter.
May be his agent is due a payment but neither club was aware of it. If another team has come in, we need a swift decision from Buttner...he isn't essential to us, though has wasted our time.
Having had a read of several sites, the general consensus is that during his time at Vitesse, Buttner has become part of or signed up to a third party. They say they are entitled to a cut of the fee. HOWEVER - as this is not detailed in the original contract between Vitesse and Buttner - Vitesse are refusing to hand over any money they receive for the move. ALSO - Saints are refusing to do so also, as they're saying it isn't documented in Alexander Buttner's contract. This leaves the third party threatening legal action against Buttner and co and this is what is holding up the deal.
On the BBC as well. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18738816 seems its not teh agent, but another 3rd party, "Over the course of the weekend, the player informed Vitesse via his agent that a third party had a supplementary demand towards the club." possibly a management company?? How many varieties of parasite are there?
