Kept that quiet. Rumour has it that Bustino has been signed up by regular Forum readers Timeform in an attempt to appeal to a wider audience. Here is his first contribution, it is believed

Had to copy and paste this rubbish below. My initial attempt to type the blue words came out like this:

"urmmefoTirs eaderum rfoar ulregy bp" . How the **** did that happen?

Ron, I cannot believe that Bustino has used a female nom-de-plume to write for Timeform. Are you sure it is not his sister?

An interesting article nonetheless. I always thought that all modern day thoroughbreds could be traced back to the Darley Arabian but if it is only 95 per cent, how do we spot the others? Cloven hooves?

Clearly you need to get your predictive text sorted out – that is what you get for buying cheap portable devices from Chinese sellers on Ebay!

You've found me out!!
Actually I don't know what you are talking about as I can't read the link.

Was it the Darley Arabian article by Sally Wright? She might be Howard Wright's sister or daughter. He was a reasonable breeding pundit.

Yes. Don't know why you can't read the link though. I've just clicked on it and it worked fine.

Had a look at this. It seems I had a touch of the Eric Morcambe's. "I played all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order". Even so <yikes>

Yes they usually work for me but not this time

The non-Darley Arabian line was represented quite strongly up until the advance of Northern Dancer. In the Boussac article I talked about the loss of Hethersett being a blow to this line. Blakeney wasn't quite good enough to keep it going. Klairon and his son Lorenzaccio looked as if they might achieve something but they fizzled out.
