Match Odds (at Skybet) Bury â 11/8 Pompey â 15/8 Draw â 12/5 Mystic Devo This is a match Pompey would have seriously been looking at a maximum 3 points a few weeks ago. However, I fear the departure of Appy will have a bad affect on the guys. Corporal Punishment is going to have his work cut out. Devo reckons: Bury 2-0 Pompey
Seems like we've only got 1 senior striker now. Not looking so good but we may have a bit of a lift eh? Please?
Well the manager's gone, so the team will have a lift, right ?? Portsmouth 4-0 Bury. We're gonna bury them
Sounds like Guy wants to play two up front but that's a bit difficult now we've lost Rodgers. Maybe McLeod will be partnered by Harris, with Thompson or Maloney coming up from the youth team to be a sub.
Pompey concede direct from a corner again. We desperately need to work on our defending of corners ...
The game sounds absolutely dire. Even Bury commentators surprised at the number of decisions gone their way - and even more so for the penalty. 806 Pompey fans of the 3280 there.
Listening to the Bury commentators. They've just been talking about how our players are all shoulders down and lacking confidence.
Well there was me thinking things were starting to look up. Hah, whenever we get some momentary respite or brief spell of positivity it's only to pave the way for a bigger disaster. Next stop league 2. (or possibly liquidation).
To be fair, I don't think any of them are - plus they are on month by month contracts, which could end any time. But playing in front of a huge live audience, you do need to feel confident in what you're doing as well as the rest of the team. Otherwise they end up with comments like.............
Well in the end, a guy called Zac Thompson scored the opening goal. Why not one of our "Thompson"s ??
