How would we describe this game, even though we run out winners 2-1.

Best description I got is, another game of 2 halves and ugly football with a ground out win, but
our second half was only marginally better than the first.

Once again, our opposition come out for the first half with intent, and we were caught on hop,
our football was ugly, no radar between players, passing was way off target, and then some, and we're playing too much tippy tappy football at back.

Last time we were playing tippy tappy football at back we went on a losing streak, not to mention all the
Ariel ping pong that's crept back into our game since that streak.

We were playing with lack of conviction, no inspiration, and based on our passing, no particular plan of attack, and the players didn't seem to want to win. Based on the way we've been playing ugly football lately, we played with complacency, I suspect someone thought this was going to be a cake walk again.

On the 29th minute we had our arse's handed to us when Burton scored their one and only goal, however, it could easily have been 2-0 if Sordell had put a bit of curve on his shot that went just past the far post.

Halftime saw us go in 1-0 down, talk was about can Leeds come from behind for a change and win the game.

Beginning of second half didn't seem much different to the first. Tippy tappy football was still there with Jansson and Cooper, on numerous occasions throughout the game they had plenty of space to take the ball forward, but chose to pass it to each other, tippy tappy football is not attacking football.

We had to wait 16 minutes of the second half for us to wake up and take control of the game, to some extent.

We picked up a free kick on the 59th minute after Roofe was fouled just outside of Burton's box, we also had to wait a couple of minutes cos the Burton keeper decided he wanted to hump O'Kane and pulled his shorts down, for his efforts he got a yellow.

Yet again, with slide rule precision Pablo placed his free kick up and around the Burton defence, from the rear cam angle you could see the curve as the ball snook inside of the post leaving Byewater with his just deserts......no one tries to hump one of our players and gets away with it.

Our first goal seemed to be the tonic needed to lift the team slightly and take control of the game, which we did, and 3 minutes later, on the 64th minute Vieira put in a brilliant forward pass that found Roofe, and Roofe slotted it home to put us 2 up, luckily for us, that's how the game ended.

While we continued to control the game, Burton were slowly pushing for an equaliser, they were running through our midfield building up their attacks, and with minutes to go there was a goal mouth scramble as Burton were pushing to put the ball in net, and Leeds defenders were desperately trying to clear it, lady luck was on our side and we ended up 2-1 winners.

This was a game of 2 halves and ugly football for Leeds, and lady luck was on our side, and we were lucky to run out 2-1 winners.

Too many ugly football games back to back, to much bad passing, we had this form during our losing streak, and someone's going to give us a good hiding if we continue to play this way. I do wonder what was in TC's dossier he showed to Radz.

Our midfield is our weak link, most teams run through us, if TC doesn't address this problem we're going to be in big trouble, again.

Cibicki, like Klitch was continually being ignored by TC untill TC was forced to play him, and Cibicki stepped up and did the job, TC should do same with Klitch; if TC has personals with Klitch, then he ain't putting the team first imo.

Lucky for us, both Millwall and Fulham did us a favour and we're now only 5 points from second spot, realistically, 6 points.

Regarding the debate whether Vieira passed to Roofe or Cibicki, hard one to pick, from the replays, and cam angles looks like a pass meant for Cibicki, doesn't matter, Roofe got it and won the game for us.

We played ugly, we were lucky, and we had lady luck on our side, but we need to improve big time if we're serious about getting promoted.

    Enjoy....<cracker>

Can't argue with any of that ll we've been lucky in the last 3 games. We really need to play with more intensity and tempo, it's a good job the quality of the opposition has been as poor as it has or like you said we could have been on the end of some hidings. Just hope the powers that be don't think we can limp to the end of the season without 2 or 3 quality additions because lowly burton showed our lack of squad depth to everyone yesterday.
