The Brewers will be out for blood having suffered a 5-0 loss to Leeds at Elland Road last September. As we know Leeds form in the last six games has been exemplary, however Nigel Clough's men cannot be discounted; they beat us in this fixture last season 2-1. Leeds hope to have Saiz fit after a calf problem. Replacement Pablo Hernandez scored the winner against Hull and may continue, but Stuart Dallas is still missing. Nigel Clough's only previous Football League win on Boxing Day was against Leeds in 2011 as Derby boss - he's lost four and drawn one of his other five matches.
After we’ve beaten Burton and Brum away we’ll be looking good. (Say it quick, it sounds more likely) Then on news years day all we have to do is beat Forest, and the 4 teams currently surrounding us - Derby, Bristol C, Villa and Sheffield U - play each other so dropped points for at least 2 of them guaranteed I’ll post again when I have another surge of mindless optimism
leeds going well to win the championship not too far off and despite the football pundits always saying wolves will run away with it , wolves will go through a bad run just like leeds did so expect wolves to start losing !
Good morning and its match day again so soon.hope the squad got a little family time . Time we gave a team a good thrashing wonder if it will be today.
Good morning to Matt WJ and co from a wet Bardsey I for one cannot see how Wolves will not be promoted its theirs to lose now with 54 points from 23 matches they only have t,o get 36 from the next 23 for automatic promotion that's 12 games I thought I would do an half term assessment Cardif fhave 47 but they have a very small squad so I expect them to lose quite a few in the second half and finish on 74 points Bristol C have 46 but it will depend on whether they sell Bryan and Flint and Brownhill if not they could finish second Derbyhave 44 points and I expect them to chase Bristol all the way .They have the best English manager in this league Leeds have 39 points so they are gaining momentum at the right time with 3 new signings clouyld reach the playoffs at least Aston Villa will spend big again in the new year but I still think they will fall short and settle for a top6 place Shee U have been amazing until this month but lets take nothing away from them they have exceeded every expectation Without new recruits will just fall short and allow Boro to edge inform of them So my top 6 would be Wolves Derby/Bristolc Aston V Leeds Boro
Just thought Murphy will not be playing today ,I expect a though encounter Lassoga leading the line and scoring in a 1-0 win again
Looking at the results list for this season the Brewers have not beaten a top 6 side their only claim to fame is 0-0 away Bristol and of course they beat Millwall away 1-0M
Good morning all, I hope you all had an enjoyable Christmas Day and that the gifts keep flowing today with three points and a top 6 position as we approach the new year.
Last season we had 2 runaway teams, this season only one. We are in 5th at Xmas exactly the same as last season although 2 points worse than last year. I expect a much better post Xmas performance than last year so fully expect us into the top 4. Tommy has been told his target must be 6th and I expect the players to do that for him. Still think the fans need an explanation after January regarding why some players ignored/sidelined when we were told we bought 14 first team players. Someone was wrong? Or the manager was wrong
