23 man squad not named yet but burns is part of the 29 training in the Algarve in preparation for the world cup
I wish Wes all the very best - except when playing England of course - and he must come back injury-free!
Fair play to him, but if he struggles to get into our side, I cant see him making an impact at the euros somehow. Good experience for him though
He is a good impact sub if used correctly when chasing the game, never fails to win or draw a game a couple of times a season
Just wanted to remind you all about Leicesters achievement this year, when Wales enters the Euro 2016 final's. And when everyone laughed at Greece in 2004. Bales coming to get you
Hear what you're saying ROD, but the big difference is, neither of those 2 are/were 1 man teams in the way Wales are
I agree that Wes is unlikely to make the final 23, but a great experience for him and indicative of the potential he has - from what I can gather his loan spell at Fleetwood went very well. I think our transfer dealings will determine whether he's loaned out again or not next season due to the abolition of the emergency loan window - if he does stay though, I'm perfectly happy for him to come on from the bench.
Whoever wins our group will play their quarter final on the same day as our prom should they make it through the last 16. The people organising it weren't too happy when i suggested getting the match screened at the venue
With regard to Burns, as a sub could be quite useful, will have a burning desire to do well and the type of football will allow him more space in a less grunt and groan atmosphere.. against the "having an older player" who is just happy to have added a cap and is unlikely to see another tournament!
I don't want Wes to be a sub bench player for us, I want him to develop further and become a lethal weapon for us. After all, anyone who can beat Bale in a sprint has half of what it takes already..
