They have only lost once so far this year, a 1-0 defeat at the Stadium of Light, and since then they've drawn four and won four, an undefeated run which has seen them move to second in the league, albeit three points behind early front runners Sunderland. They are managed by 44 year old Scott Parker, who shone in his first season as a manager, achieving promotion with Fulham via the playoffs in a Covid hit 2019/20 season. After relegation the next year he moved to Bournemouth, and managed to get them back to the Premiership before a shocking start to their Premier League season, including a 9-0 defeat against Liverpool, led to his dismissal. He then managed Club Brugge for less than three months before being dismissed, and after a year out of management, then took over at Burnley. He inherited a strong squad, with experienced players in the form of Jay Rodriguez and Nathan Redmond alongside up and coming talents like Aaron Ramsey (the young one) and Jaidon Anthony. I'm sure they'll be hoping for an immediate return to the top flight after relegation last season. As for us, I guess I have focused on them, and a bit of info about Scott Parker to delay getting to this bit. A point on Tuesday lifted us off the bottom of the league, albeit only on goal difference. The football wasn't great, and we were seriously lacking options and fire power up front. Celar doesn't look up to it at all, and Frey is great, but I think he needs someone to play off him. Our only bright sparks are in midfield, and they (Field, Saito, Smyth, Dembélé, Chair) can't be expected to deliver all our goals. I'd love to see two out and out strikers start, so when the ball does get forward we have options. Discuss. Team news to go up when on the official, enjoy if you are making the journey, and as always... ...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!
Freys out............ffs. Injuries mounting up in a thin, inexperienced squad with 2 forwards. You are correct, we are royally f**ked.
Still on sale online so presumably so. I normally find for the games they make all-ticket at late notice they have some bod selling them anyway. Leeds actually is all-ticket because they’re enormous.
