A game that historically throws up a 0-1 scoreline. Our bogey team if we ever had one. Normally a game were we have the majority of possession, but Burnley sit 11 players and two buses behind the ball, and hit us on the counter attack to score their usual goal against us. A team that will most definitely get into our faces and play with a high tempo; something recent weeks suggest we don't cope well with. Every reason to believe we will win this one then? One things for sure, if we fail again to start this game with a bang Mr Bruce, I hope we are not in for another long dreary afternoon. I feel we have to find a place for Mo in this one. Funny how times change, Boydy couldn't get anywhere our starting 11 at the beginning of last season, this season given our current options I feel he would be starting most, if not all games.
No matter who's in the Hull team or dugout we've struggled against Burnley for years. Hopefully this will be the straw that broke the camels back.
Always been a bogie team for us. This will be my young boys first game. Lets hope its one to remember!!
No chance of beating them feckers. Somebody will be along on a minute suggesting Andre Gray will score the winner.
Hull City should have signed him, because he scores goals! We did beat them when we went up under Brownie home & away!
so would Marney, which just goes to show how far Brucie has dragged the team down - so we'll dust worselves down, try and make a fist of it and just hope it's not one of those 'orrible afternoons
Will be interesting to see the attendance. I love football on Boxing Day, but not this brand of football, at not at £33.00 Out of the seven of us who used to go home and away, just one person is going. They are charging Burnley fans £33 to get in too, I wonder how many of them noticed it was just £16 last year. No one can question their business acumen.
It's on the world feed so there will be streams. Seriously contemplating giving this one a miss. There's better things I could be doing than spending an entire day out to watch that dreary old ****e.
I don't have any great memories of Burnley, and thats going all the way back to that sad night when we beat them 2-0 (just one more goal needed I think). I took my lad to last seasons Burnley game, walking over the fly-over some random fella asked if we had been to the game, to which I replyed yes, he then just casually looked at me saying he was going to report me for child cruelty. Anyway back to Boxing Day, I'm tempted to go, working on the law of averages: surely we can't play as bad as what we have been and surely it's time we put one over on Burnely.
May bang a ton on Burnley to win this, could pay off a lot the xmas bills, reckon they'll be in 3/1 teritory
It wont be anywhere close to being. SB is as safe as houses. However i doubt many football fans anywhere will be giving Hull City much of a chance of winning this game.
