It's difficult to say - he may need a different approach to the way Wenger "managed" him (and I rate Wenger very highly) - I watched him play a few times and thought he looked like he could do well - then others he looked amateur at best! I think he could've been a good player but I reckon the PL got to him a little! What the **** to I know anyhow - I only coach under 9's!!
If I remember rightly Laurent Blanc refused to let him come to us cause he said we were'nt a big enough club, the cheeky Garlic munching tw@t!! We owe him one though cause we were going to pay a significant fee for him, but he ended waiting a year and going to Arsenal for free.
Hes a good player, had a very good first season with Arsenal but got frozen out recently for whatever reason, theres many worse players than him and judging him against our striker (bar Fletcher) you could argue hes better than them all with his record in the PL as none of ours have done it yet.
He scored in 1:5 for arsenal with their possession and creativity so god knows what he would have done at Sunderland. It'll be interesting to see what he does at Palace this year. I wonder what Blanc thinks of his career now
Yes its true, our strikers still havent proved themselves, but I wouldnt touch him with a barge pole. Hes 29 and hes only ever scored 8 goals for Arsenal. He reminds me of ex Liverpool player N'gog.
Christ when you mention those names (Saha & Graham) its no wonder MON lost his job, utter woeful signings.
