Just watched him play for Ipswich. He had no influence on the game at all. He is still pulling out of tackles, and he just kept making short passes. He was woeful. So glad he's gone.
Well we shouldn't be surprised should we? Now he's got a contract the Ipswich fans can expect a major injury, reports of being pissed up round town yada yada yada. What a full weight CU next Tuesday
i think woeful is harsh, think he gave possession away once in the whole game..might not have been smashing 25 yard shots in etc, but cant do it every game, id say he was ok.
I thought the same about Bullard tonight, didn't do a lot and when he did he just pulled out the tackle that if Coventry had a better striker would of scored from. Coventry had a lot of chances and quite a lot of possesion! 3-0 flattered them I thought
Woeful is very harsh, thing was he didn't need to tonight so all he did was keep it simple and make sure they retained the ball.
Coventry are crap, he could probably amble around all match doing jack all. I didn't see the game but noticed Sonko got subbed after 35 minutes, would only improve Ipswiches chances of winning no doubt
For an attacking midfilder he spends so much time hovering in space just in front of the back four that he he has no real influence on the game at the business end of the pitch. Being so remote means he's not likely to get any real contact from the opposition - obviously a plot to extend his career and save his glass knees. Only comes to life when there's a free kick near goal. Ipswich should be able to wheel him on just to take free kicks in the same way American Football does for a player to kick goals. Never been a fan of Keith Andrews but thought he put the tousle haired plonker in the shade.
Andrews has somehow resurrected his career since his move away from City. Still think he's crap mind. Think he was vilified by the Wolves fans, when they came to the KC in 2005, wasn't he? I seem to remember some jeers coming his way. Delaney will get another round of applause upon his return from me though.
I have just read a report in the HDM that described him as MoM. Oh hang on just realised that the author was one James Lodge.
thought he was OK in a reasonable Ipswich performance against a woeful Coventry. MoM? no. Andrews, Bowyer, Scotland and Cresswell all had more impact than Jimmy B.
He was fielded as a deep midfielder and did his job fine; nothing flashy, no unnecessary risks and showed signs that his game is coming to shape on the back of improved fitness. Andrews had a good game and plays well for them; Cresswell is a solid player who had the MOTM performance.
Listening to Radio Blunderside yesterday morning, they aired some comments from Mr Allam stating that Bullard had missed his chance to appeal over his sacking and that they had not heard from Bullards solicitors. No mention in the HDM about this? ANyone else hear this?
Interesting, would like to know if this is the case. Heres for hoping but I'm sure if this was true we would have heard about it before now.
If his advisors are as clued up as Bullard then it wouldn't surprise me if they had bodged it for him.
Assem said before Saturday's game that Jimmy had missed the appeal date and that he was waiting to hear from his solicitors, as he's no idea what they are planning next. He also said any poor employee should be sacked, they shouldn't get an exemption from normal employment law, just because they happen to kick a ball for a living. He's not wrong.
The last I heard on the saga was that there was supposed to be a meeting late last week with Allam and Bullard + co. Nothing has surfaced from this meeting .
Anyone know how much that cockney money grabbing **** is on at ipswich? Guessing he wouldnt give a flying **** how **** he plays as long as he gets his wage.
