Couple of people have hinted on twitter that Bullard might win his case against us. Saw something about other players not being disciplined for the same offence being vital. Any insider info on this one?
A bit more info here, all still rumours for now, but it's not sounding good... http://www.hullcityindependent.net/?page=forum&forum_id=4&thread_id=10209
Doesn't sound good at all. McGuire going with very little said doesn't inspire confidence either. It's all a bit of a guessing game at the mo but 2 and 2 is adding up to 4.
isnt it a fair point tho? not wanting to stick up for him or anything, and i am no expert at legal things.. but if its true he was the only one punished when others where involved, hes got a case hasnt he? i know if i was sacked for an incident and others where let off thats what id aim for...
The £3m that might be paid to JB could be the difference between a Top 6 spot and mid-table. Very sad the spectre of Mr James Bullard continues to haunt this football club. Nicky might not be permitted to spend until this case is tied up. It could be the difference betxeen Billy Sharp and Billy Blunt in front of goal..
I think you're forgetting this wasn't his only indiscipline case!! Thats the somatorium of everything that made us acuse him.
Rumour Rmour Rumour. Bullard has no case. Papa Allam can tie this up in court for months, years if he wants to. Another Bullard thread...yawn yawn yawn. The waister can also be counter sued for breach of contract. Lets wait and see what happens from the powers that be.
While that's true, it doesn't stand up unless he was disciplined each time. There have to be procedures in employment law. I don't blame the club for sacking him but we always knew it could come back to bite us.
none of us no the full details. i want to hear Grdon Taylor stand up and defend him publicly when everyone knows what he is and what he has done
surely there are/were solicitors involved in advising - especially with the ammount of money at stake... isn't hudgell a sponsor?
There are solicitors and barristers on both sides. If decisions like this were straight forward there would be no need for courts at all. As far as I know, Hudgell is a personal injury solicitor. I suspect he has no expertise in employment law or high court contract disputes
Rollits handled the take over for the Allams, I guess they will have been involved and arranged the necessary barristers.
Rollits were the Allam's solicitors and Gosschalks were the clubs solicitors, but I don't know if it's all Rollits now.
I seem to remember Rollits have some tie up with City now, and Steve Trynka who I know quite well, as I use to play golf with him, is a keen City supporter and was the main man in the take over.
Well, firstly, lets hope this is not the case. Surely the solicitors on our side would have pointed out our weakness if others had not been disciplined. All the facts of the case were known before Bullard left. If, however, we have made an error (and it certainly must be agreed, by all, that in no way could Bullard return to the club) then this situation should be covered by our Professional Indemnity Insurance?
