Why wasn't he playing? A few of our fans (mainly Tony Warner's Face) felt that not playing Bullard was criminal. A really talented player who can turn games and is Premiership class. Why was he on the bench?
He can turn games yes. However you have to look at things in a balanced way. When he played for us last season, two thirds of the season had gone, so he was reasonably fresh for the rest of the season. Starting a season though is a different matter, forty six league games, he has to pace himself, with his injury history. Okay with the ball in front of him, and dead ball situations he is as good as any in this league. His work rate, and tracking back is poor. He also lacks pace. In other words his bad points outweigh his good ones. When we started the season, he clearly was not a player who was going to help us back into the premier league, we need to ship him out, pronto.
I dont quite agree with truth seeker but he hasnt been in great form and I would say that if your in a losing run and leaking goals then JB is probably not the player you need. When/ If we get a bit of confidence and a few wins and need to battle a little less then Im sure he will have a place in the team
I don't know whats happened to him, perhaps its that he had no preseason because he doesn't look fit in matches, although his form hasn't been helped by being played in the DM position. Last season he was brilliant for us and looked like he could run all day and actually didn't look that slow, atm he's a shadow of his former self. I hope he finds his form quickly, because on his day he's the best CM in the championship.
yet ANOTHER Bullard topic by a Hull fan, stay tuned guys, there will only be another 100 this season......!
Perhaps you should have paid more attention to the 99 we posted before you bought him. You will probably feel the same as us after you get rid of him. We wish Ipswich no ill, we just see ourselves as lighthouses warning the unwary of dangerous rocks (literally in Jimmy's case).
