http://www.greenun24.co.uk/ipswich-town/bullard_ordered_to_stay_away_from_hull_1_980404 Well, Hull surely aren't going to want to keep the lad on his full £45,000 wages and not play him. Perhaps a similar arrangement to last season could happen yet. Ironically, our first home game is Hull ha... !
What seems to be going on here is that Hull are going to try and get out of his contract by sacking him for misconduct. If you ask me, given their well-documented wish to get him off their books they would have no chance of winning the lawsuit which would be bound to follow. If that's the scenario that plays out then Bullard would become a free agent but by the time he's in a position to play again his legs might've gone anyway.
I posted the following about Bullard on another forum - This is my view anyway. ________________________________________________________________ We had a similar situation with Dennis Wise on a club tour a few years ago - He was given a contract that was draining the life blood out of the club On a pre-season club tour the players held a late night card school during which Callum Davidson won a significant amount of money from Dennis Wise - He stood up, thanked Dennis Wise for his time and his money and promptly informed the school he was tired and going to bed - Wise remonstrated with Davidson demanding an opportunity to win his money back. Davidson laughed and went to bed - A short while later an angry Wise barged into Davidson's room and chinned Davidson, breaking his jaw. Now here's where it gets interesting - The club, whether it saw this as a heaven sent opportunity or not immediately sacked Wise for Gross Misconduct - Wise then embarked on a a case for unfair dismissal. And here is the point and the warning from history - Although wise was ultimately unsuccessful - it was only because he left it too late to actually bring the case - surprisingly legal experts suggest he would have won his case - This may come back to bite you
It won't bite us - this is the Ipswich board - but anyway I can't imagine that Bullard hit anyone, he's of a different temperament to Wise who's a thug. But it's one I dont think Hull will get away with because I'm sure that whatever misdemeanour Bullard got up to goes on all the time and Hull will have to explain why they don't sack everyone who misbehaves.
