Former Blues loanee Jimmy Bullard says he would be a âvery happy manâ if a deal could be done to facilitate his return to Portman Road. The one-time England man began pre-season training with Hull City this week but with a move away from the KC Stadium looking all but certain this summer. Hull are desperate to offload the 32-year-old, who has two years remaining on his £45,000-a-week contract, which makes up 21% of their wage bill. The midfielder, who was named the Bluesâ Player of the Year after a hugely successful loan spell in the second half of last season, was recently reported to be in talks with Hull regarding a settlement of his contract. The Tigers are as yet unwilling to talk about a further loan, preferring to get the £5 million signing from Fulham's future sorted once and for all. Town boss Paul Jewell had ruled the Blues out of the running for his former Wigan playerâs signature but, as TWTD reported last week, the large fee received from Sunderland for Connor Wickham will have made a potential deal more achievable. Bullard, who is understood to have held talks with QPR earlier in the summer, says his future is still very much up in the air: âIâve not really thought about things too much yet. Iâve been away for six or seven weeks and now Iâm back in training with Hull. http://www.twtd.co.uk/news.php?stor***=18718 Reply With Quote

Bullard back on the road to Hull Jimmy Bullard is ready to make his peace with Hull and turn out for the Tigers next season. The midfielder told City last month that he would scrap the remaining two years of his £45,000-a-week KC Stadium contract in return for a £1million pay-off. But now Bullard, who cost the Humberside outfit a club record £5m from Fulham in January 2009, has revealed he is ready and willing to play for boss Nigel Pearson. The former Wigan playmaker, 32, has seen proposed moves to Ipswich - where he spent the final four months of last term on loan - and Premier League new boys QPR and Norwich fail to materialise this summer. Bullard admitted last night: "At the end of the day, I am still contracted to Hull and I would be more than happy to play for them next season. “If they turn around and say they don’t want me to play, for money reasons, then there is nothing I can about that and we shall have to see what happens. “At the moment, though, I am back in training with Hull, and I have not really thought about things too much yet.” Bullard, who was voted Ipswich’s player of the year after notching five goals in 16 outings for the Tractor Boys, would relish a permanent return to Portman Road if he is frozen out at Hull. "I loved every single minute of my time at Ipswich and made some wicked friends," he said. "If there was some way I could sort out a move there, i would be a very happy man. HULL CITY: Bullard QPR loan rests on wages Friday, July 08, 2011 Profile image for HDMFewey HDMFewey Follow QPR have officially expressed an interest in taking Hull City's record £5m signing Jimmy Bullard on-loan for the season. But the deal for the £45,000-a-week midfielder is unlikely to go ahead at present as the Tigers do not want to pay a proportion of his wages. Jimmy Bullard at Hull City training Jimmy Bullard has joined up with the Hull City squad for pre-season training However, they have told the newly-promoted Premier League side that they will sanction the move if they agree to pay his annual salary in full. Bullard is believed to be keen on the move, which would let him play top-flight football again and be nearer to his family roots in the south. But having been willing to pay part of his wages whilst on-loan at Ipswich last season, City will not entertain the idea again this time around. Ipswich are also still interested in striking a deal, but financing any package will again be a sticking point. Talks are expected with QPR in a bid to find a suitable agreement for both clubs. Meanwhile, defender Liam Cooper has joined Huddersfield on a season-long loan. Midfielder Tom Cairney is believed to be a target for Doncaster in a similar deal.
He's not the answer to our problems we have better at the club already besides the ugly twat would look out of place amongst the beautyful people
