Anyone hear it? Said it was probably his fault it didn't work out at city and that he regretted not going to Celtic but the deal wasn't right and not right for his family. He was pissed off with the club for arranging the deal without him knowing. They also played a boetang interview from last week when he said what happened after the man city game broke the team
Caught part of it, think it was about to be implied that fulham paid for his treatment with steadman, but we didnt. Or did I hear that wrong ?
I always said that the Man City talk was a bad idea even tho ISPLT said that no one was paying attention. Stupid Geordy prick.. it wasnt WHAT was said, it was the fact it was a humiliation for the team.
it wasnt WHAT was said, it was the fact it was a humiliation for the team Give over. Humiliation my arse. Easy excuse for some of the slackers. They're big boys getting paid fortunes. Have a look at the Cloughie Mottie interview. Imagine what he would have said to some of them. Brown treated them like big boys letting them have Xmas off. They humiliated him. They humiliated the thousands behind the goal that gave up Xmas to be stuffed like turkeys.
Other players said it had no effect. Boateng has an agenda- he's Dutch, they all think they know better than the coach.
I don't think that ISTPLT is a Geordie(or a Geordy). Nobody thought it was a good idea, just that it wasn't the cause of our demise, as some halfwits have claimed.
I'm sure the Premiership millionaires we had were not fragile enough to go pieces after one incident on the pitch. Unfortunately some of Brownies key signings didn't work out, like Jozy One Goal and scumbag Bullard
I can't believe some of our fans are still discussing this non-incident. It was and eye-catching image and filled a very convenient Hull City-sized gap in the nation's consciousness. A godsend especially for ignorant bastards down south....
The cause of our demise was that the manager ran out of ideas because he was too busy picking his wardrobe for the telly - proper precious ponce. As for Bullard, life can be a sad progression that simply compounds itself, but he was a pretty remarkable mid-fielder (to be honest, I really liked his brand of football), very good I would say, almost, very close to being an England regular. Bullard could play football, but he suffered injuries, tough though that may be, it does not make him anything other than a total knob; as a bloke everyone would laugh with or at him and then someone would chin him. Just good that he seems to be joining two others who both know football, but they lost any perception of what we see in them - well me anyway! Posted a bit tonight - flu: Whytes & Mackays - Honey - hot water: all I need now is a win. Beach Volley Ball Rules - well the lasses anyway!!
Ian Ashbee said last month at a talk that they couldn't hear a word of what Brownie was saying but it did annoy most of the players, Ashbee said he lost a lot of respect for Brownie after that incident and believes Brownie only did it to get his face on TV.
He did say something, he told him to his face after the incident and didn't speak to him for about a week, from what he was saying he was fuming, Windass on the other hand said he found it hilarious.
Them close may have known and laughed or ignored, but the wider perception was piss-poor and did our Club no favours! Their pathetic antics made us look like juvenile twats; truth was Brown had a better squad than some, but he did not have the nous.
There was not much of note that day in the Prem so it got highlighted. That game was only our second away defeat so to be 4-0 down at half time was well below the draw at Anfield 2 weeks earlier or the first defeat at Manchester Utd. It was well bellow the level the players had set themselves so Brown was right to bollock them.
What? Absolutely. PB was speaking tonight at an event in Cottingham and he dscussed this very topic. He admits it was a bit over the top in hindsight but was surprised how well the players took it. He was amazed that all the senior players went along with it and sat and listened to him, when he wouldn't have blamed them for going down the tunnel and ignoring him. He certainly didn't lose the dressing room. Could have pointed out that I'm not a prick either Also I have no idea what he's even suggesting that I said, and I think its bollocks anyway. Brown claimed that the likes of Barmby and Ash were really supportive of him, and couldn't praise them enough. Also, for anyone who thinks PB is all about his image. He turned up tonight in pink and yellow pinstriped trousers. It was a golf day, but still
You can go on the talkSport website and listen to it over. They pretty much archive their shows of the previous week.
