Bull fighting is fine by me. Looks good fun killing the big bastard plus you can have a decent steak after to celebrate.
I was in a bar in madrid once and some American tourists complained about bull fighting being on the TV. The barman looked at them with utter contempt and said "when you lot stop hunting bears and black people come and complain about bull fighting" I nearly choked on my shark sandwich.
So putting things into perspective, Yanks like killing bears, black people, muslims and sometimes their allies <friendly fire> Spanish like killing Bulls. Live and let live I say...or in the case of innocent animals, live and kill the ****s.
The matador sticks the last sword into the bull after it has been running up and down for ages with the horse mounted assistants stabbing it in the back of the neck. By the time the rather queer looking matador lands the final blow the bull is utterly exhausted through blood loss. Not really a fair fight. I'd like to see the bull vs the matador and all the dandy Spaniard has to defend himself is a pair of knuckle dusters. If he knocks the bull out then he deserves all the steak and minge he can eat. Hand to hand combat with angry animals, why isn't that on Sky Sports?
