    aye I read on another page he lost the eye. he had to get metal plates and mesh inserted to try and reconstruct the face. serves the daft **** right for those ridiculous sideburns

    Yet, as in this instance, sometimes the bull stands a chance of winning and walking away free.

    He was born and bred for the ring and quite simply wouldn't be alive were it not for the sport.

    I can only suggest you do some more reading....

    If the public or the matador believe that the bull has fought extremely bravely, they may petition the president of the event to grant the bull a pardon (indulto) and if granted the bull's life is spared and it is allowed to leave the ring alive and return to the ranch where it came from.

    Then the bull becomes a stud bull for the rest of its life.

    Well that's my mind totally changed on the whole subject. Lots of innocent animals bred, tortured, mutilated and killed in the name of sport but one or two "lucky" ones might get to spend a few years shagging.
