Blackpool have made a dreadful start to the season and sit second bottom in the table with just two points having lost six of their eight games so far and scoring just three times. The Tangerines have fallen on hard times since their brief flirtation with the Barclays Premier League and just prior to the start of the season, boss José Riga had just eight professionals to call on. In their last outing, the Seasiders battled out a creditable 0-0 draw at the Amex Stadium against Brighton so will be looking to kick on and get their first win against Neil Adams' high flying Canaries at Bloomfield Road. please log in to view this image Blackpool's Ishmael Miller and Brighton & Hove Albion's Adrian Colunga battle it out at The Amex Norwich for their part still sit in second place in the Skybet Championship table despite a disappointing home stalemate against Birmingham City in their last league outing, it was a game where they once again battled back from being two nil down at the half time interval. Previously at the Cardiff City Stadium they had managed to turn things around with a magnificent second half display ending up as 4-2 victors, this time however they could only manage to finish the match on level terms after a second brace in as many games from Cameron Jerome. The Canaries will be hoping to bounce back from their abject display in the Capital One Cup against Shrewsbury Town last time out where their 'second eleven' failed to muster a single shot on target in a one 1-0 reverse. please log in to view this image Canaries in form marksman Cameron Jerome Current form Blackpool: LLDLD Norwich City: DWWDL Match history In twenty-four league and cup encounters the Tangerines have marginally the upper hand with 10 wins to the Canaries 9. At Bloomfield Road both sides have 5 victories with 2 drawn games. Blackpool have edged it at Carrow Road 5 wins to 4 with 3 stalemates. Blackpool have managed to score more than 2 goals only once in this fixture, that was in a 2nd round 1st leg League Cup tie in September 2000 at Carrow Road where the game finished 3-3. In the 2nd leg at Bloomfield Road City ran out 5-0 winners their best ever win against the Tangerines. Back in their Second Division title winning season in 1971-72, City also put 5 past Blackpool the 5-1 victory being most notable for a Graham Paddon thunderbolt that left John 'Budgie' Burridge stranded. The winless Seasiders are likely to welcome experienced defender Peter Clarke back from illness while a week off will have helped midfielder Andrea Orlandi's foot problem. However, Costa Rice international Jose Cubero - yet to make his debut for the club because of work permit problems - has picked up an injury and Jeffrey Rentmeister sustained an ankle knock against Brighton. Riga, who was only able to name six substitutes a week ago, is down to the bare bones as it is with Jacob Mellis, Bobby Grant and Gary MacKenzie (all knee), as well as striker Steven Davies (groin) all long-term absentees. Norwich manager Neil Adams will revert to his regular starting XI for the trip. Adams made 11 changes for Tuesday's 1-0 defeat at Shrewsbury in the Capital One Cup, with none of them expected to retain their places. Jonny Howson and Gary Hooper made their returns from knee and calf injuries respectively at Greenhous Meadow and could be involved in the league matchday squad for the first time this season. Republic of Ireland international Wes Hoolahan has recovered from the ankle injury he hurt prior to last Saturday's 2-2 draw at home to Birmingham in which he was withdrawn at half-time. I have no confidence today after the last 2 results. I expect nothing less than 3 points. Very good thread once again KIO <OK>
I hope Adams fires them up before they go out none of this half time comeback bull**** 4 goals and a clean sheet would be fantastic today. The gulf in class is huge so if we have any intentions of keeping up with Forest I'm afraid today is a must win.
Yes great to see the Paddon goal, as you may have gathered he has long been my all time favourite player. Solid win today sees us becoming established at the top of the table and bedding in for the season
Really hope we see a response from the team today! Last two games have been below the high standards they've set so far, so hopefully we can return to that level with a convincing win.
I'm a little nervous about today. We've been a bit sloppy in the last few games and I think complacency might be creeping in. Hope Adams gets them fired up from the start and we are 2 up by half time, but I can see it being tighter than we hope.
Afternoon all, I for one will be majorly disappointed with anything other than a win this afternoon. I don't care how we get it, dodgy pen or whatever, I just want that win. P.S. Neil Adams' preview video added to my OP
I wish I was as confident as Mr Sutton http://talksport.com/football/exclu...anter-claims-former-star-sutton-140927115950? I hope he's right mind you

Yeah but arguably QPR had the best squad last season and they struggled, and were mostly pretty dire for the most part.
According to the Pink'un, Ruddy today moves into the top 100 for Norwich appearances, with I believe 137 appearances. Above him in today's squad are Russell Martin with 167, and Hoolahan making his 201st appearance.
Just got in from my local, and notice no Hooper in the squad. I did not expect him to start but I thought he would be on the bench.
