A good team needs strong players and a solid spine. Keeper, central defense, central midfield general and centre forward. I still think Mon hasn't decide on his spine just yet but ifhe will have a fair opinion. Gordon or MIG? Gordon would get the nod if fully fit. O'Shea and Brown are the defensive pairing. Midfield and centre forward are positions still up for grabs. Catts has impressed and disappointed in equal measure under Mon. Jury still out. Colback, Vaughan, Gardener and Meyler the other 4 In the hunt. Up top, Bendtner, Wickham and Campbell have shown glimpses of what they are capable of but not outstandingly so. Ji is just poor. New blood is maybe the answer short and long term.
Gordon is fully fit and traveled with the squad on saturday but was left out as Westwood returned to the bench Mignolet is number 1 for me and will be for a long time I get your point though Mig, O'Shea, Brown, Catts and ??? for next season
When O'Shea and Brown play together they are amongst the top centre half pairings in the country and we look solid. Sadly though they are both mnow prone to injury which makes them difficult to rely on. I'm not sure MON can play a team where he is regulary playing hid third and fourth choice centre halfs. For me I would like Titus to go. Keep Turner and Killgallon (as he deserves a chance) I can see another centre half coming in. Not the Greek. Central midfield, well we have numerous combinations and good cover here, we can improve but who makes way I'm unsure. Up front - Well it's taken a while but the two upfront do seem to be improving at the moment, goals output is low though. Mention of Agbonlahor but I'm not sure he would add that many goals.
