Bugger me ! what impact is that Wigan result going to have on the run in ??

    Having just watched Wigan, worthy winners of the cup in my honest opinion,how do you guys it will effect the run in. Do you think Wigan will take their feet off the pedal,happy with their lot or do you think,if anything it will increase their resolve ? Personally I have a bad feelin about this win.

    Winning a cup win did nothing for Birmingham a few years ago nor Norwich in 1985! Swansea this season struggled afterwards too. I expect them to beat Villa on the last day though. Whether that will save themselves, we won't know until Sunday week!

    This with bells on. If we win tomorrow no matter what happens we're safe. Even if Wigan score 14 in their last 2 we're above Villa so no issues!! (And boy do I want to finish above Villa!)

    Wigans biggest problem won't be ability or confidence , it's fatigue that will catch up with them.

    But as many posters and PDC have pointed out , win our game today and enjoy watching the run in from a position of safety should be our target.
