We've all seen the tilke drawings of the circuit, but those of us of the gaming disposition have now driven it, courtesy of F1 2011. From the drawings, it looks okay, aside from the hour long straight that is common on a tilke circuit. However, having now driven on it, i can say it is the worst circuit i have ever had the misfortune to race on. It's fussy, overdone, and the corners designed to challenge the drivers will just infuriate them. Tilke really has sunk to a new low with this one.

Have you actually played the game?
It's not the best, but it's better than some.
Go and play on the Bahrain track or the Barcelona track, if you think its that bad <doh>

Oh, forgot, it is just woeful. It's too fiddly, and too hard to memorise, because of all the unnecesary turns. You don't need a billion corners to make a great track. Look at monza. All these tilke dromes have 20+ corners, and are forgetable.

It looks to be another last-minute job to get everything ready. :(
Turns 1, 2 and 3 aren't as steep as I thought they'd be and everything else on the track is standard Tilke fare.
As for Austin, it's annoying that Tilke had to take inspiration from good corners like the Hockenheim stadium section and Maggots/Becketts just because he can't design his own good corners, and even then, this track is still standard Tilke fare.

I actually quite like the look of India. Not so much Austin though, that seems to be a constant left, right, left, right affair...

I like the look of the circuit and its quite nice to drive after a while - just take the time to get used to the circuit. Its quite rewarding when you finally master the circuit without going wide or missing apexes.

If you're still having problems with the circuit, try doing a few laps without the distractions of KERS and DRS and just focus on learning the track. Dont try to go as fast as you can immediately.

Now here's a new one... Farmers threaten to disrupt Indian Grand Prix

Apparently they want more compensation for their land:

The circuit owners seem less than sympathetic:

I like how the farmers kept quiet up until there was only a few weeks until the race was to be held. I have images in my head of tractors entering the track in a Farmer mutiny during the race!

India is pretty crap, although the painting will be good as my the company my uncle works for are doing that! (He's there at the moment! :L) but Austin looks amazing! It has BAckotts, becketts esque section! Nice straights which dont have double back chicanes at the end and a turkey turn 8 remake! Apparently there is a lot of undulation especilly at first corner so im pretty hopeful for it! :)

Sounds oppressive. I feel sorry for the farmers - the organisers don't give a **** about them.
