What annoys me here with the Buckley is that (if you believe the medial in the transfer window) Leeds were going to buy him, then asked if they could loan him instead. We declined. Now they have got their own way. We are too soft, and should have been bloody minded here and told them to shove it. We were crying out for transfer funds through transfer funds in the summer.

I'd definitely keep Mannone. That guarantees Pickford a full season at Preston, where I think he'll learn a lot. They're at the wrong end of the second division, so he'll have plenty of learning to do.
defence falls apart without JO'S yet he can leave too . Until we get replacements I don't think anyone should be leaving unless, like Buckley, they're not in the 25-man squad.
Maybe we've waited it out correctly, maybe they're paying more wages than they would have if we accepted their first loan bid. You don't know, you're just assuming we've been soft. Maybe we dug our heels in because their first offer took the piss.
I'm not sure what you're getting at mate. We can't make someone buy one of our players. First they wanted to buy, probably didn't like our price and asked to loan. We said no, either hoping that they or someone else would come in for him. They didn't. Now he's going out on loan. I don't see what we could have done otherwise.
Compare with trying to buy a player from Spurs. Daniel Leavy tells you the price. Hit that price and the player is yours. Otherwise he ain't.
