So.....I have a few questions............deep breath Gasheads......... " Does Buckle have what it takes"? 1) To get us relegated? 2) To get us in the playoffs 3) Automatic promotion "What sort of coaching takes place at BRFC"? 1) None at all 2) Under 8's 3) Rugby (judged by the amount of sky shots last night) Finally I know its early but should the board sack Buckle due to 1) Clueless tactics 2) Signing 18 conference hopefuls 3) Appalling results 4) Bull**** comments I have never suggested sacking a manger especially so early in the season. However we have paid good money for this... as some would cry "rubbish",Buckle keeps bleating there is a lot to do .......well stop talking a good game and get on with it.The stats already shout relegation battle...inept coaching tactics, appalling Junior school football (Kick and hope, every one runs after the ball and leaves huge gaps for the opposition to exploit),defence with Sawyer in a central position give me strength. Sorry he needs to go along with a majority of the team not Harrold who works really hard,by the way has he offended Campbell as I understand he is departing? Oh hi everybody all this is my first post COR
If you look back over the last few days worth of postings I think you will find the majority of gasheads on here have run out of patience with Mr Chuckle. However there are many different views on what should happen next - from get rid ASAP to give him longer! Personnally I think he has a major problem with man management - it might have worked down at Torquay, but it ain't working here. Unfortunately for us we are only his second club and so he has come up against a situation that he has not experienced before, and it looks like he has no idea how to adapt/change to rectify his short comings. On top of this is his (apparent) approach to the supporters and everything else attached to the club in which he seems very successful in upsetting everyone around him - including the players. In pre-season matches they all looked full of confidence and good football - this however has been (trained?) out of them, and now no-one looks comfortable with the ball and no-one wants to try and change things incase they induce the wrath of the manager (Stanley/Anthony to name but two!) Good players don't become bad players overnight -so it must be down to management and traning styles etc, and this all points to one person. Personnally - can he get us in the play-offs/promoted? - not without a drastic change. will he get us relegated? - if the rot doesn't stop and the board leave it too late - it's a possibility! what sort of coaching goes on? - very confusing by the look of things! (No shape or patterns to play - players out of position etc!) should the board sack him? - if we lose on Sat against D&G - then he should go. If we win or draw then I think the board must have a serious word with him. One last option which I have read somewhere is will he lead this club into oblivion - relegation/unpayable debts etc/loss of support on the terraces = less income - anything and everything is possible! Welcome to not606 - sorry it's not under happier circumstances! Gashead till I die!
He has to go, surely?! I don’t like seeing us go through so many managers, especially after each time I have really felt they could do a job, but this ****ing clueless nutter insists on blaming us fans for his players being ****e, and blames just about everything else for all of his cock ups. I would like to think he will succeed here, but I don’t think he will get the time to do it anyway. Few more results like this, and he will be gone. The mass walk out of the crowd on Tuesday night so early in the game would suggest that the gates will struggle from here on
I think we'll get a run of decent results through November and December. October was always going to be tough because Port Vale and Burton will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season after building for a while now, and Cheltenham are flying. We won't get relegated, but I think the best we can hope for is the playoffs. The next couple of months really will shape the rest of the season, and if results go badly then I guess Buckle would go.But I think he'll turn things around. The Rotherham victory was impressive and should give us hope.
welcome carry on my answers... " Does Buckle have what it takes"? 1) To get us relegated? luckily only 2 go down. surely there is 2 worse clubs than us so i think we will be safe if buckle stays in charge. 2) To get us in the playoffs 100% no no no no no no. 3) Automatic promotion 300% no no no no no no. "What sort of coaching takes place at BRFC"? 1) None at all very much seems that way. 2) Under 8's same as above. 3) Rugby (judged by the amount of sky shots last night) same as above. Finally I know its early but should the board sack Buckle due to 1) Clueless tactics yes. 2) Signing 18 conference hopefuls individually they aint too bad. altogether shocking. whose fault? buckle. 3) Appalling results yes. 4) Bull**** comments yes. the man is a **** of the highest order.
Thanks guys its been a while. I think all of us went into the season with good heart after a clearout and good pre season results. Well its unanimous Taxi for for Mr (Ch)Buckle. He appears outta of his depth,we are due a win on the weekend, as we have lost two and won one a couple of times, although we played like a team of complete strangers last night so if its more of the same then its just a meaningless stat. Roll on Saturday although take your sofa to hide behind COR
At the start of the season i was full of optimism, and looking at someone like di canio for first local axe as was sure his debut in management would cause Swindon no end of grief however . . . i don't think the playoffs are gonna happen . . . as buckle put it we have to be realistic I know that's coming from the guy that's suckling our optimism away but it is true i'm afraid . . we're not good enough for league one at all, and with Buckle's inexperience could only seeing us fall back down immediately - and that would just damage the club even more Being "realistic", there are 2 or 3 teams in this division that are just not good enough to stay up, and i don't think that's us . . . when push comes to shove the talent would show through and we'd survive. Amazing how we all took the lennie trollope days for granted . . but that said, no guarantee Paul would have kept us in League one any better than Penney or Buckle . . . not playing the what if game Personally give Buckle to the end of the season, that's a whole year for the team to gel and the club/buckle/players to get on the same hymn sheet . . . if there's no improvement come March April i'm sure the board would not renew his contract Come january a few more players will move on e.g. Kuffour, Campbell probably Anthony and that will free up some of the wage bill to bring in . . . . A DEFENCE . . . .maybe even someone that knows where the net is and a decent link man. What i don't understand is MOST of the Gasheads on here have said the same things over and over since September Need better defenders Need a decent playmaker to link the midfield and attack Need another striker that can find the net (gotta love Harrold though, got that one right Bucks) Just wish the manager would listen
Just wish the manager would listen He is to busy talking Triggs, attracting the right players to the club, hmm not sure on that point. Im all for giving a manager time however he seems unable to settle on a formation is unable to change a game when plan A is not working and the midfield and defence is so poorly set up.Fair play to Port Vale who made us look attrocious but were they that good? Perhaps you are right give him more time however it really look as if he is throwing mud against the wall, hoping for the best.......sometimes it works sometimes not. COR
has no clue what our best 11 is yet. has no clue what formation to use. has no clue playing players out of position. has no clue on tactics. our players individually are good players for this league. why cant he get them playing. they are obviously not happy which is shown in their performances. obviously the players are getting the brunt of the fans frustrations which effects their performances. its buckle though who is getting it all wrong!
Challenge on one point CJS ...not all the players are good individually for this league, some should be in the conf. COR
the way they been playing... you are right. but before they joined us, they were good in this league.
escuse this invasion, it may not be the players but their man management. do hope you beat the daggers, to resore morale on and off the pitch. luckily irene has ceased snoring and has just turned over.
