My hope is BT, that´s Bassong and Turner
Soon reach full fitness again,
This is no time to be put on the back burner

I dare say they´re close, but ´twould be nice to see

When fit, they would both seem to me to be
Our favoured numbers 4 and 5

And although R. Martin does fill in real well
Bassong, the fans Player of the Year,
Really does help the whole defence to gel
Especially when Turner is there

I´ve suddenly noticed stilljarold c´s thread
Presumably along these same lines,
So I´ll close there and put this thread to bed
Don´t want to risk scolding or fines.

 

No worries RBF, your poems deserve their own thread anyway! It's disappointing news but it seems every year that someone important is not ready for the start of the new season! Let's pray for a speedy return for them both!

Agree with this. And I think we'll be able to rough it for a month if necessary if B&T aren't ready in time. Rusty and Bennett will do a good job in the middle. Lets not rush people back so they end up being out for longer.
