Sheridan told Herald Sport: "I thought Joe was excellent on Saturday. He just does the basics. He knows what his strengths are. "He has got a lot of energy and, I tell you what, he won't back out of anything in the tackle. He's good in the air as well for his size. "He gives us that balance. Him and Bas are very strong down that side. "They kept McGlashan very quiet, who is a big threat. I thought Bas totally dominated him, but Joe was really effective going forward as well."
