Brunt missed the friendly vs Hereford due to injury. 2 tweets from Official BRFC twitter page.... "Concerns that Ryan Brunt may need a minor knee operation. Hopefully seeing specialist this week." Followed by.... "Brunt has a piece of bone floating in his knee. If surgery required he could be out for 3/4 weeks." When will we go through a spell with NO blooming injuries!
On the OS now...... Ward said: “Ryan has a piece of bone floating in his knee, which we knew about, and we are trying to get him in to see a specialist this week. If he needs a clean up, which we think he may, he could be out for three or four weeks. It’s a problem, but it’s one of those things that happens every now and again. Ryan has had a little bit of surgery in that knee and when that happens it’s always a possibility that something like this might happen. At least we know what the situation is and we are hoping it’s nothing more serious.”
I find it incredible that his problem has been allowed to get to this stage. Surely if he had received a relatively minor arthroscopy operation at the end of last season, he would have put that problem well behind him! Having said that of course I'm not party to all of the facts......
I thought he looked 'off the pace' v Bath. How come he played at all if he has this problem? Sounds like they were hoping the problem would go away..................and it hasn't! At least Harrold is fit and raring to go...............................
