Rovers striker Ryan Brunt will sign for League Two side York City tomorrow in a one month emergency loan deal.

Injury restricted his appearances to 14 in all competitions last season and he trained hard over the summer months in order to be fit again for the current season. However he has found it difficult to break into the side and has made just four appearances to date. DC said:

"Ryan has been to see me on a couple of occasions regarding the possibility of going out on loan and at our last meeting we agreed that it would be beneficial for him. I am unable to offer him regular football here at the moment, something he will get with York, and the move gives him the opportunity of playing at a good level and regaining his match sharpness."

Amazing really, considering he can't get a game for us. But good for him. Hope it all works out.

How can someone go to a higher league on loan, just seems mad to me.

I hope he finds some form and keeps his place or comes back and holds down a spot in our strike force.

I met him along with lee brown and Michael smith after the relegation and all 3 were top blokes who tbf were the only 3 performing for us all season, mind you I am surprised they didn't call security after I approached them after 9 pints in the changing rooms <laugh>
