I think its more the press banging on about it. He's just polite and answers the questions.

 

In that case he should be more professional and politely inform them that he is the Hull City manager now and he is not there to talk about an ex club.

 

Thought it was quite funny myself but the one linked on the same page about Newcastle and Sunderland picking each others managers was funnier. You could almost believe it.

 

Is his only sacking as a manager at Sunderland ?

I'm pretty sure no one has failed to realise it (although Polly's doubt was worrying). It would be pretty much impossible not to get it.

 

He said to Burnsy after the game that to much had made of it.

Its the media, they need a angle to sell the story. Bruces Sunderland past was it.

If he just refused to talk about it, it would make him look bitter.

 

I must admit, after initially dismissing it as a spoof, I then realised that this fact had passed some others by (and still appears to be doing so!), and it did shake my certainty a bit!
