http://www.safc.com/news/20110810/boss-not-ruling-out-new-signings_2256213_2415841 Steve Bruce isn't ruling out making an 11th summer signing before the transfer window closes at the end of the month. Bruce has been the Barclays Premier League's busiest manager during the close season, bringing in nine new players and securing a permanent deal for loanee Ahmed Elmohamady. Latest capture James McClean checked in on Wearside yesterday and Bruce says he's in a position to move again should the right player become available. "The squad size is good at the moment - I'm very pleased with what we've done," he said. "But as James McClean has shown, a manager's work is never done. If there's someone out there who we feel would be a good addition to the squad then we are in a position to act." nothing we didnt already think/hope/know but is he really trying to get someone in or is it just to help the season card sales along???
As Bruce alluded to there is always room for improvement. A further signings would only happen in a flurry in the transfer market as a whole.
I think if the right player becomes available then he act. Spurs havent been busy yet, so i expect a few comings and going from them.
You have to think Malbranque was sold to free up that 50k a week for a signing on a similar kind of wage. I'm hoping its Bellamy as he's the two birds with one stone signing we need.
We've got the quantity.............now where is the ****ing quality, Break the transfer record..............really Steve. you said it. L/W or Striker............everyone can see it...........
I think it would be a real statement if we could get Kranjcar and Bellamy in. A bit of quality and pace as I think we are desperate to inject some pace.
