Bruce isn't going anywhere. This is all about financial fair play, im almost positive. To change Bruce would cost millions. 1) compensation for Bruce 2) huge kitty for whomever replaces him ( nobody with a name will come without big $$$$ being on offer), therefore halting progress 3) compensation to which ever club we nick a manager from. 4) huge new salary !!! Quinn is not a business man!! He is a Football man and one hell of a sales man. So let him do just that Talk football and sweet talk more money into the club Try to think like the man, pretty hard albeit, but..these are the things i would be thinking about if i was him. How can i improve this business? (improve) what is an improvement on 10th place ? (European football) which is useless unless we.... 1) bring in more $$ ? ( Sell more Merchandise, Sell talent ( 20m hendo), fill stadium etc...) or 2) we spend less? ( get rid of higher paid players with little or no sell on value) or 3) a combination of both ( seems most sensible given the current economic climate) of the teams above us how many can we see realistically meeting the break even requirement............. ffs how many in the league? ( man u and arsenal? ) This is a man with no Football back ground , but a money background. Not the type to donate $ to keep us in play with the fair play regs. No dig at the bloke . personally i think this reasoning is sound, and part of a longer term plan. forget the 5 year plan that got thrown out a while back..... is he thinking this or have i had a couple beers to many?
I hope next years concerts are gigantic, like John williams (star wars etc) or Kylie or Ennio morricone at least if the team cannot entertain us they could.
