    The support.

Steve Bruce is delighted to see more than 4,000 Sunderland fans making the trip to Bolton tomorrow.

The red and white army are again on the move in numbers as Bruce's side look for their first win of the season.

And the Sunderland manager says he'll be glad to see the away end bursting at the seams tomorrow.

"The support we have here is absolutely second to none," he said.

"Again we're taking more than 4,000 fans to Bolton which is one of the reasons I came to this club in the first place.

"Our support, both away and at home, is terrific.

"My message to the fans is thank you very much and I know for a fact they will keep supporting us through thick and thin."

Oh dear, has someone had a word about his slagging us all off the other day? Too late for some half arsed PR now you fat ******.

Had he acknowledged how poor we have been and just held his hands up and offered his apologies, rather than tell us we should be grateful for this parcel of ****e, then we would all still be with him.

I can't stand listening to, or watching the fat ****er these days. I really can't.

Same here, the man's lost all credibility he used to have. Sooner he's gone the better.

I don't get to any away games, don't have the time, but we've always had a substantial away following so why wait until now to praise them? He's a man on a very slippery slope and he knows it.

It seems to me that it doesn't matter what he says, or in what context he says it, there will be certain fans who will look for negatives to throw back at him...

And whose fault is that RAW?

A manager usually answers critics on the field. Bruce cant do this so he has attacked the fans a few weeks ago.

That someone so obvioulsy in the PR dept has had a word with him since that article and he now suddenly comes out with this mushy ****e today is just sickening.

He has almost had his 10 games RAW as you said to me a few weeks ago was the benchmark of how we should judge him. By the time we are ritually humilated by Man Utd in a couple of weeks time, it actually will be 11.

Whats your interim report before the 11 games mate? Could do better wont cut it. Lol

He is finished mate and we are again treading water waiting for the inevitable. All his retention as manager is causing is disruption amongst fans again.

    Martin O Neill.

Do you just have problems with basic English? I've been saying this for months.

    With respect mate.

Every manager will lose games, it's the how we lose that determines the fans opinion of the manager.

If we lose but we've given it a good ****ing go.
If we lose but the lads have made us proud.
If the initial setup is changed when it's not working.
If the subs actually make a difference.
persistantly playing a player that is obviously out of his depth.
If over the course of a game, the manager looks clueless.
The starting 11, the base tactics he employs, his substitutions, etc. etc.

All of the above add's up to whether we think we need a new man in charge. Not when we lose a game FFS.
