At the start of last season you would have taken 12th with 47 points with open hearts. Half of your team was injured from memory for a lot of the run in. You battled against Liverpool grinding out an excellent draw and got beat by a free kick that split a pretty even game at the weekend. Now you want the guys head? Get a grip. Methinks there is a deep seated feeling of knee-jerk going on with your supporters because Bruce comes from up north ( btw he's no Geordie) Expectations are everything in football................keep yours realistic.
I dont think (or at least my opinion ) it has anything to do with him being a Geordie. As you say, I honestly don't think he is a toon fan. Its just he didn't have and hasn't got that "wow" factor. He is a mediochre to poor manager with a mediochre to bad record. The money we have spent, the set-up we have.... It's always the personnel that let us down. I want someone with pull, clout, ambition. Hope this doesn't offend too many. My record shows I have always been a Bruce cynic. We've spent glamour money on middling quality. Honestly SAFC fans who (and I include Henderson in this) from our squad would attract a big EUROPEAN club? Anyone? Sorry. Am ranting. x

Dear me lads... it's all so simple, really nothing in life is that difficult... Look, when it comes to derbies it's all a question of handling the situation... and it's clear to all and sundry that the canny lads from weyerside simply cannot handle it.... First of all we have Steve Bruce, a man so obsessed with beating/finishing above the Geordies the fattest face in football is in serious danger of expoding... Then you have players like Bardsley and Cowardmole who simply cannot handle the pressure... I mean whatever you say or think about Joey he does carry that little bit of intelligence, you know, he's just that little bit smarter than the other two... And then the fans... you build yourselves up into such a frenzy for your 'cup finals', again you simply cannot handle the situation... You know, I can come back here year after year after year and nothing will ever change... get a grip, get some bottle, work out a way of coping with pressure and accept your place and standing in life..... Like I say... nowts this difficult is it...
