They'd have to offer him a lot of money, but if anybody could sort them out, it'd be Brucey. Wouldn't be a disaster if he went in Summer, but any sort of talks before then end of the season might see us distracted. It's probably bollocks anyway.
Villa have some of the most delusional, ****ish fans in the Premier League - their club is far too big/good for the likes of Steve Bruce; with a bit of luck they'll **** up their next managerial appointment, like they have done the last two, League One awaits you ****s. Give us a song now Lionel!
Would love it as it would force the owners' hand to bring someone else in, but can't see anything in it, particularly if we go up.
He'd be mad to go to Villa, that club is in massiive decline and if they couldn't sell it in the premier league what chance would they have in the championship?
So you expect City to get promoted to the Premier League but you want the manager replaced ( sacked) ?
Eh? I'm talking on the assumption we don't go up, because even then the owners wouldn't get rid, so Villa poaching him would force their hand. I don't think Villa would get him if we don't go up, and especially doubt it if we did go up. Clear enough?
I dont know why that's so daft. Most of us think if we go up under Bruce we'd be in the bottom 4 at the end of next season. some people are good at certain things, such as getting promotion, but arent equppied for the next part of the job. In recent years Bruce really doesnt appear to be a good Premier League manager.
He got a lot of help off the Wigan chairman (forgot his name, the bonkers old fella), the Sunderland fans hated him to an extent that he said he had nightmares about it. Maybe Bruce gets on well with these wacky owners and thats the secret of his success
Yeah I think Bruce record in the Premier league is acceptable. Not great, just acceptable. For me the jury's still out and anyway, you can't just go ahead and sack a newly promoted manager, especially one that has given us the most successful Hull City side ever. Not that it will happen anyway so people are wasting their breath when giving this opinion.
